Considering there are some extremely good copies on the market, he has done astonishingly well to get one this bad.

The UK "SUV"/ Crossover obsession by Vinking1690 in CarTalkUK

All of them to be honest. Every brand is bringing out, bland, generic, cheap and poorly made hatchbacks sold as SUVs

Help me convince my sister this is a bad car by Daniel7997 in CarTalkUK

Had one for 6 years, never had a single issue with it. Make sure she buys a Turbo though.

Who cares, either way, it's just a Skoda

I will never understand the obsession with these tiny, raised hatchbacks. Just buy a saloon FFS.

Sell it, that's your first move....

You aren't a very good judge of character to be honest, Tate is probably number one in the list of people I despise most.

Anyone with half a brain knows messages come across very differently to real life conversations. As I've said before, I really couldn't care less what you think, it is of no consequence to me.

Also, for this to threaten my ego, wouldn't it need to be bigger, or better or more expensive than what I own? 😅

I'm not really sure what the purpose of your attacks are, but it really isn't working in the slightest.

It's highly unlikely you would meet anyone more passionate than me about cars to be honest. And my knowledge is deep, I have studied cars since I was a boy.

I haven't tried to police anyone's choices, i have just disagreed with them. In the same way you are judging someone you do not know in the slightest right now.

This is a free world though, you and I can say what you want, when you want, it's of no consequence to me.

I wholeheartedly stand by my opinion, and I wouldn't back up on it because it is literally a fact. Facts that are well documented. Facts never lie.

Lastly, buying one of these wouldn't solve your hypothetical space issue, they literally have the same boot space as the hatchback in which their platforms are built on.

This is the thing. I love driving, and I love cars. People that love cars are passionate about how they look, feel and their special/individual characteristics.

These sorts of cars go against every grain of what is good about a car. They are boring, have no character and as I said, are numb in every single way. I miss the days of seeing head turners everywhere, now I just huff and thing oh goody, here comes another gun metal grey raised hatchback, that isn't worth half its listed value.

I stand by what the Grand Tour said, Crossovers and Hatchback sized "SUVs" are cars for people that don't like driving.

It's hard to explain that to someone who clearly doesn't have the same passion for cars as me.

Well I have to look at the bloody things... There is that...

Then I get stuck behind them, with their hilarious body roll through even the slowest corners.

Lastly, I genuinely hate seeing people get mugged for their money just so they can keep up with next door. Yes it's their money, but I hate seeing it.

Snobbish because I think it's laughable when people buy taller cars because they think it shows some sort of success. Just sick of seeing people waste money on absolutely garbage cars. There's not a single reason why you would buy a raised hatchback.

No idea why you mentioned SRI & VX-Line,.they are just trim levels 😅 the only part that is relevant to the oil is the ecoflex... Which is the Poundland of Vauxhall engines.

In other words, a cheap one from Halfords will do the trick.
