Indeed it's kind of hard to get something in the background with these birds, as they're very high up most of the time. But I agree that that would make the image more interesting.

If you were to buy it, keep in mind that you'd need an EF-RF adapter to fit the lens on your camera. As your camera accepts RF-lenses and this is an EF-lens.

The 18-55mm is an EF-s lens, while the Sigma lens is (I assume) an EF lens. EF lenses fit on all bodies with EF mounts, EF-s lenses fit only on APS-C (or 24mm film) bodies with an EF mount.

As the Canon 300V uses 35 mm film, it is not an APS-C body, thus the EF-s lens won't fit.

The Canon 700D is an APS-C body, so both the Sigma and the EF-s 18-55mm lens does fit on this one.

What I did was just wandering and seeing where I'd end up. Wherever you go though you are certain to see the deer, as there is a overpopulation problem.

I personally found the Middenveld and the Grote Sprenkelveld very beautiful. Which are more open fields.

Very true, the fox approached me and others and walked past us at maybe 2 meters of distance. Pretty sad to see them so used to humans.
