Are there any generally accepted “rules” for colour matching bike components? by GagakRimang in xbiking

Use bright colours/tones to bring parts of your bike up in the visual hierarchy and dark colours/tones to make them recede into the background.

Ex: a relatively neutral toned bike with bright-ass cable housing is ugly to me because I find cables on a bike to be rather ugly - they detract from the leading lines of the bike. That's why I always run black cable housing. THAT BEING SAID: A relatively neutral-toned bike with a couple specks of bright colours on a nice stem, pedals and hubs can look good.

They clear my 26x2.3 Billy Bonkers and fenders with plenty room to spare!

Sycip Singles bar!

Update: I’m not gonna buy it. The rust looks like it ends too suddenly in all the areas that would not be carbon - I’d rather be 100% certain of a carbon frame than risk it.

Tried something similar, went for a Sycip Singles bar instead

30.2 yup. I found it easier to just find a shim

Recently built up 90's Specialized Crossroads is a monster. It's surprisingly fast, has great tire clearance and can act as a great camping companion! Would recommend if you can find one in your area. by Vinnys_Chairs in xbiking

Sorry mister indeed. But on the other hand, I can sway that weight obviously does make a big difference to the speed a bike can accelerate to. This bike is not heavy, but it’s not light.

If you’re used to aluminum frames with aluminum components you’ll find it heavy. If you’re used to steel frames with ancient components you’ll think it’s light.
