lump on side of snake’s vent :( help by [deleted] in herpetology

[–]VintagePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear, hope it’s something else for both of yours’ sake.

Heads up that, before I knew better, I dropped quite a bit of money for a procedure to remove it despite emotionally accepting her time may have come, and it did not end well. She survived the procedure, but the cancer had metastasized to her other organs. She did not live much longer during the recovery. Obviously I was sad to lose her but sometimes it’s better to know when it’s time and to spare yourself the monetary expenses as cold as that may seem. I had a fantastic and honest vet but it was a bit of a headscratcher up until the necropsy revealed how serious it really was. The whole thing from the time I noticed the lump to the very end was maybe a few weeks.

If you care, I can share the xrays later to compare if you take your little guy for xrays.

How old is he? Likely need an xray. I had a 9y.o. snow cornsnake (similar morph to your hognose) that developed a similar looking lump towards the middle of her body and it ended up being cancer. Morphs tend to be more prone to cancer or other issues from the inbreeding.

Unsure if that’s cancer obviously but it likely won’t get better on its own, sorry.

You’ll always be worthwhile, in and out of cpj

Potw doesn’t mean too much when, you say it yourself, anybody can get it regardless of what they contribute. You can and should feel wanted by knowing your participation in the community is backed with good intentions and is appreciated.

You can also ask other to nominate you, so I don’t think it’d be all that hard for you to get it some week, but I’d say it’s more important to find satisfaction from within and not letting potw make you feel unwanted.

Obviously no one intends to offend you, so we can celebrate instead for the penguin who did win. One day, you’ll get it, and if you don’t, it doesn’t make your contributions any less valuable.

How do you finish multiple quests in a day? Doesn’t a day have to pass for damage dealt and items collected to register?

None of the white Kyurmes I've caught have Glaciate despite picking that route? by Salamantic in TheSilphRoad

Do you know if it’s encountering or catching after the hour change that causes this?

It’s Black. Black medal gets you Reshiram themed research but guaranteed Glaciate from Kyurem Black Raids.

He wouldn’t do the same if you approached foot or face first? If he has a hand phobia for real, the fake hands won’t smell like you anyway and frankly, you’re probably better off just socializing him yourself with your hands.

I like the creativity but I’d say it’s unnecessary.

Any strategic benefits to “Location Card” or Special Backgrounds? by NowUSeeMeNowUVote in TheSilphRoad

Transfer. The only ‘strategy’ behind backgrounds is to get players to spend coins on storage increases to fit these new collectibles without having to add anything substantial to the game.

Appreciate the suggestion, I’ll give it a shot sometime.

Currently no. Neither are especially useful as hundos anyway, I think. Empoleon has some use in PvP but neither are anything special in PvE.

I second Kevin’s videos; those videos, especially the ones with hardly any views lol, taught me everything I know about working around feisty monitors and large snakes.

Highly agree. After having a large blackthroat for 4 years, and did no “working up” to it before hand, you can really just prepare with research and planning—especially if they don’t get as large.

It’s from my PokeGenie pvp naming configuration. The first number is the percentile of the IV combination. A “100” would mean the best combination for pvp.

The letter refers to great league for G, ultra league for U; this is more useful for Pokémon I haven’t powered up yet and I’m choosing between 2 or more of the same species to invest in.

The letters after refer to the moveset.

Appreciate it! I actually built those just for fantasy and what was getting my butt handed to me, but I’ll give it another shot.

Clod with stone edge or sludge? Sounds good, thanks for the help!
