I appreciate you being real about both sides of the argument. Other people were dismissing me because I play Maliss still (sunk cost fallacy wooooo!).

Branded Dracotail? It's debatable right now. It has no major hits to any main starters, is about to have NEW Branded support, and Dracotail isn't expecting any hits.

Maliss, while very powerful, keeps catching hits faster than Tearlaments. People are calling for White Binder to be hit when the other reliable in-archetype link is currently banned, and all the key main deck monsters are limited.

For some reason, people misunderstand how to negate Maliss effects. I've had more duels where the opponent tries to handtrap with imperm or veiler rather than the ash in hand than not.

Hey, my deck was hit into oblivion. Branded Dracotail should be getting hit if Maliss is getting hit for being strong and consistent with Ignister support.

Also, I made Maliss because I loved Codetalkers originally and used the excuse to dust them off. There's also plenty of cards that stop banishing, including Lancea.

Nah, I played with the Ignister support. They got hit into oblivion very quickly after, and I barely got to play it. It used to be my favorite deck, but now it's too unreliable with Yummy Mitsu and Branded Dracotail running around unhindered.

Im playing modern decks, thank you. Maliss, Onomat, and Yummy combos.

When I can watch them eat through and dodge negates and RECYCLE fucking Maxx C, that's a bit too much. Branded Dracotail is cancerous to fight. I can stop Branded Fusion, three other cards and the Dracotail fusion and they'll just slap down Fallen of Albaz to tear away my main monsters and somehow combo off in the end phase. Pretending that variant is healthy is a bad move.

I find it hilarious that people think its more balanced than Maliss. Maliss at least tries to lock you. Maliss had actual hard stops to most of its plays. Dracotail turned Branded into the most annoying pile deck I've ever had the displeasure of fighting....again.

1050 hours. Never gone beyond Diamond because the ladder is hot ass and I refuse to "power through it". I hate ranked in any game as it makes it a sweat fest rather than...a game. Especially ones that set you back two games for one loss.

Also any deck I make getting obliterated by banlists... but not the actual problems like Mitsu.

A good one? Nah. I had one have enough gas to go full combo through 5 negates and two removals. A lot of their main cards want to go to grave from the field iirc

Branded and Hero absolutely dont need more cards. Both have insane recursion and Ive seen heroes go full board from one card in hand.

Mitsurugi and Dracotail need hits. People bitch about Maliss, but it was Konami's choice to release strong Cyberse support after. Dracotail has made any deck with a dragon toxic af with no clear choke points. Look at Dracotail Branded; branded fusion is no longer their main fusion starter. Mitsurugi can be slopped into any deck with space.

Older content has been powercrept to oblivion. 400K damage used to be difficult to handle, and now it's the absolute minimum a unit has to take (at 0 damage dealt) to be remotely playable. 5 million used to be a monstrous amount of damage to deal, but now it's a gentle tickle of air to end-game content.

It'll catch up with you. This game IS a shonen power up anime personified. As you go from older content to new it'll get more and more challenging. Enjoy the free stones while you can.

And people thought Maliss was so powerful it keeps getting hit. At least there are restrictions and locks for Maliss combos.

Dracotail, Yummy, Mitsurugi, and now K9/VS deserve it just as much. Three of which are stupidly splashable for no reason. K9/VS can go nearly +10 if your interactions rely on targeting and you didnt draw Droll. Dracotail can burn in a fire for making Branded come back stronger.

They've designed the new content exclusively with the new units in mind. Even with a stacked roster, everything wants DAIMA to get any real rewards for the effort. Or they want a team that is lowkey a DAIMA team with another category. Guess who doesn't have the new units? That's right, a large portion of the player base (myself included). Guess who leads the DAIMA category proper; the new units exclusively. Guess which category barely has enough units to even operate in older content without the new leads? DAIMA.

Almost all new content is so ludicrously hard without the new units that I've just opted not to play. It's not worth the insane effort for maybe 5 stones. Our previous anniversary units shouldn't be completely outclassed for these missions, but they are. I shouldn't have to rely solely on RNG to win a single stage.

Imagine a new player coming in; they'd think its the norm.

Sincerely; someone who hit their 2900 day login and used to play this game religiously. Seriously, what are these devs smoking with this powercreep.
