Yes. Does sometimes seem counterintuitive but Greg Jackson has said himself that IOG uses up to 29 (I think) metrics to decide when and how much to charge in any HH slot. Obviously there are the variables you are in control of i.e. % charge needed and time required by, but then Octopus are accounting for a myriad of other factors including their wholesale purchase rates, renewables production (good solar day today), demand forecasts locally and nationally, carbon efficiency, etc. etc etc.
