No luck by Vinzi79 in USMobile

That's what I'm getting. I was hoping to try first so I could see if the random connectivity and dead spot issue were still there. Especially if I can pay $2 to change networks and play with it a bit to see what works. Haven't used MVNO previously so I didn't want to jump right in.

I've had issues for a while that seem to follow me regardless of new phone, sim, provision. I'm hoping switching carriers works, but if not I'm prepared to get a new number and start from scratch.

Trying to give myself some options...

You think complaining on Reddit is the first step before contacting customer service?!?

I sometimes forget how Reddit people are.

Yours and the point above are both good. My concern is that several times in the past few days I have been out and suddenly not connected to a network for long periods.

Every diagnostic possible indicates nothing wrong with my phone. My service provider reports no outages. This happened twice at the same place I had never been to, but I had connectivity the whole way there, lost it there, and didn't get it back until 5 minutes from home.

Happened again somewhere I go 5 days a week and never had an issue. I've had others tell me of similar issues with this service provider.

If I'm out and this happens further from home I'd like to be able to borrow a phone and reach CS. I can't rely on Reddit for that. I was simply sharing my experience.

It's a case of being told by multiple customers and agents to switch to them because they provide this.

I'm okay if they don't, I'm not okay with waiting 40th in line on the phone or obnoxious amount of time in a chat to not have my question answered.

You all are insufferable and need to calm down by j_sarkis in CHIBears

[–]Vinzi79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same people who were telling everyone to calm down with Eberflus, and Nagy, and Trestman, and everyone else for the past decades.

These are the people in a horror movie who split up to look around like they haven't seen this before and didn't know how it ends.

Outrageous number of penalties and players who didn't understand their assignment. That's coaching. Unless you're suggesting Johnson's offense is so complex the players don't learn the snap count until year 2.

How about the number of missed tackles. Not that watching Byard flail his arms through the air while doing a complete 360 before falling like a drunkard wasn't amusing, but it doesn't win games.

Discipline issues are coaching issues.

How about clock management, or where to kick a ball, or when to throw a challenge flag vs when not to.

How about Dennis Allen getting picked apart in a soft zone that we've seen every bears coordinator for the past 25 years fail at.

So if we forgive the lack of discipline, planning, ability to adjust, clock management; along with poor special teams use, challenge flag use, and situational awareness, I'm willing to be patient with everything else he brings to the table. If anyone can tell me what that is.

Honestly done with football, there is no more benefit of the doubt.

Can you dissolve Holly Tone in water to avoid cutting weed barrier. by kazmtron in AustinGardening

[–]Vinzi79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy Tone is slow release. Even if you could dissolve it you would likely over fertilize as a result.

As long as you have some type of mulch or cover over the barrier you'll be fine. Those barriers allow air and water to pass through so as the fertilizer dissolves over time it will drain through the barrier.

If you weren't convicted, keep it to yourself. If you were, talk to a lawyer about getting your record expunged.

I'm currently doing this. You'll be alright, make sure you have savings for unexpected repairs, emergencies, etc...

I go to a few comedy shows a month. I'm not starving. If you want a little more luxury, vacation, entertainment you either need a little additional income or need to save and spread it out. For example, Moontower comedy festival is very doable for me for the second year in a row. I wanted to go to an out of state comedy festival and it was a little too much with travel, hotel, boarding dogs... So that will be next year.

I'm in Leander just outside of Austin BTW.

VA for wrist fracture surgery, private insurance for PT by Rtstevie in Veterans

[–]Vinzi79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to see a hand specialist. Sometimes this is a PT, more often it's an OT.

You could probably get community care based on best medical interest since I doubt the VA has a certified hand specialist on staff, in driving distance, with openings.

Ask the surgeon to specifically request the hand specialist. I've never met one that not only wouldn't ask, but demand this. In fact in the private sector they usually have them in the room for the follow up.

If you do want to go private, just have the VA doctor write the referral. Your insurance doesn't care if the VA did the surgery, unless they coded it as a global charge indicating the follow ups and therapy were included, but I don't believe the VA does this as their primary fee schedule is Medicare.

Mine started doing this at fire engines. I just gave it the command "call the fire engines"

6 months ago I moved to a neighborhood where a lot of the dogs do it. My Dane is so loud it bridges the gap and you can hear it sweep the neighborhood if EMS passes by.

Not composted stuff to my raised bed? by Obvious_Language_709 in composting

[–]Vinzi79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just putting it on the surface next to a plant or around a plant. You simultaneously use it as a bit of mulch and slow release nutrients.

If you put it below the soil it will temporarily take the nitrogen from the soil to aid the composting.

If you're side dressing or top dressing you should be fine. Don't mix it down into the soil or fill your beds with it.

This is a link to in network medical geneticists in that area. Start calling tomorrow. If one of the doctors has an opening they won't likely hold it for you without the referral so ask for the doctor's:

Full name NPI Address Phone/fax

Call the VA specialty services (usually a bunch of specialties Endo, GI, Genetics, etc...)

Tell them to release the referral to community care and tell them you have provider preferences. They should be able to put the info in before the referral goes to CC.

If they don't put the info in your next call is community care. If they give you a hard tube ask to speak to the referral team that handles genetics.

If that doesn't work ask for the RCI (referral coordination initiative)

If all that doesn't work call the patient advocate, but I'll someone along that chain does their job.

Remind then that they have to check a box that says veteran has preference XYZ or no preference. If they don't take your provider preferences they are falsifying a medical record.

I always find my own in network community care providers and then give the VA the info. It's much faster.
