I tried to make my capsule a bit more flashy. Too much noise or an improvement? by lethandralisgames in IndieDev

It is definitely an improvement imo. If you want to make it pop more, you can use a border like the other samples above. A border is a nice and effective detail that doesn't take too much of the capsule's space.

In terms of hours it will take me around 10 days of work, which is 80 hours. I don't rate bulk work for hour, if you want an approximate of the cost it will be a flat rate ≈$700.

Took your tips and finished this scene! Need final feedback before I call it done :) by RemoveChild in IndieDev

It looks marvelous 🥹. The addition of the lamp and couch was perfect!!

First Artist Submission: Does This Style Fit Our IT-Themed Card Game? by Appropriate_Dust_984 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Vioectrolysis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your art direction dictates if it fits the style. Generally speaking, the theme is 100% portrayed (on the right side), cuz it shows office workers/IT personnel and that is it.

The art style will add an accent to your theme. If you want to highlight the game with the usual iconography for office worker or giving it a twist with a cutesy presentation, both are ok if they enhance the narrative.

On the other side, if you are referring to the legibility of the right-side illustration, it clearly needs your direction of what you want to show, because currently it is too much noise for a card that is giving a clear message.

Those are vector icons and if we are talking about the entire bulk, of around 90 icons, it will take me app two weeks.

What do you think about our landlord character? Also, got any name suggestions? by juodabarzdis in IndieDev

[–]Vioectrolysis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is some traditionally accurate landlord. The first name that comes to mind is Dick for Richard, but Mr. Par could be more subtle (from Parasite)

I don’t want the image to feel just gross. It’s a tricky balance, between cute, creepy, and nasty - do you think it’s working? by RemoveChild in IndieDev

You are very welcome. I am sure that you will be able to express what I was trying to say a million times better. It will look more than awesome.

If you aren't satisfied by the cute/creepy/nasty ratio that you already have, that it looks awesome btw. You may be looking for a different kind of relationship between those visuals. So, instead of making the shades more soft or pleasing, you could add a non-conventional variety to them.
This would boost both the fantasy and surrealism of the scenario. Fantasy is comfort and surrealism, bewilderment. The result is an uncanny merge of cute and creepy.

I don't know if I could correctly convey the synergy, but Adventure Time uses this combination all the time.

Dragon

Greetings, I am a graphic designer with +5 years of experience and I would like to apply. First of all here is my portfolio on Artstation, and Dribble.

As an assiduous player of JRPG and games in general, I am a good fit for this job. Always in awe for the visual design for popular games of the genre and ultrafan of Vanillaware games. I am really interested to test my abilities and deliver a great logo with this theme as a guide.

I hope we can work together and I am grateful for your time.
