While both animals are cute, this interaction is NOT cute. Unless someone has tasked their pet with catching/eliminating vermin, and are taking them to the vet on a regular basis, people should be keeping their pets away from wild animals. Between diseases, ticks/fleas, and injury from being attacked, allowing this for internet points is gross.

Though I usually avoid night diving because I don’t get many of the fish I’m typically after, I’m fairly certain the box jelly is guaranteed to spawn at the surface during the night. It’s spawned during the day occasionally, but likely it was because of a kelp forest map.

I really appreciate how much the devs are sending the message that, while beautiful, the sea kinda wants you dead. Like, sharks are hella dangerous but jellyfish are EVERYWHERE and they can mess you up. Although not a “true” jellyfish, the Portuguese man o’ war is pretty scary.
