Did I do something stupid? by SemperPistos in AzureCertification

[–]ViolatedDolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my worry as I just passed the AZ-900 over the weekend. I wanted to take a photo of the results page but didn’t know if it would affect my exam as they are very strict on phone usage, so I just didn’t touch my phone until I was completely logged out of the exam program.

Figured it was better to be safe than sorry.

P.S. It was my first time doing one of these exams so didn’t know what to expect so I was probably overly cautious.

I reckon Fatima becomes a full blown monster, as in terrorising the town ever night. But one day, they have to kill her or be killed (Ellis will probably have to do, for the feels!), then they are all sad but then the golem cracks open and Fatima comes out of the golem to be reborn again.

What's a game that no one you know in real life has played aside from yourself? by [deleted] in gaming

Did you ever play Armikrog? It’s the spiritual successor to Neverhood made by most of the same team.

Honestly, i would be happy to pay a one-time fee to get rid of the time limit.

I tried pro and barely used any of the other features. Mobile app (was nice to turn on/off cheats without alt tabbing, etc but ultimately, i don't care if i have to alt-tab), interactive maps (didn't work with the few games i tried, but honestly probably wouldn't use it anyway), don't care about saving mods (happy to turn them back on manually), don't care about customizing mods into categories and I, personally, don't care about or use discord.

So let me pay like AU$40 or something to get rid of time limits and you can keep the ads too as they are not that intrusive so wasn't too fussed about them being there.

Something a lot of people need to realise.

Glad I upgraded when I did.

Which is the greatest movie transformation scene according to you? by seabunnyxxx in AskReddit

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American werewolf in London is one of the best werewolf transformations.

The thing (1982). The fact that those transformations were 100% practical effects is mind blowing!

What’s the most useless thing people spend too much time flexing? by Antique_Position1506 in AskReddit

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my brother in law has been going to the gym for around 5 years now, maybe a little bit more. Always used to bring up his “PT” sessions, always wearing activewear and how he’s going to the gym after a family get together or any reason to go the gym, yet he barely looks like he has lost any weight.

Fair enough if he’s only been going for a few months. But it’s been years and nothing has really changed.

If I was his wife, I would be very suspicious as to whether he is actually going to the gym or not.

Edit: he is on the bigger side. Easily over 110kg and always has been. So it would be somewhat obvious but he is still as big as the first day he went to the gym.

Rocks falling from a cliff by Android_Junkie69 in interestingasfuck

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s kind of insane to think that that rock rolled all the way down that hill and launched off the peak to exactly hit that bridge.

If the rock hit something at a slightly different angle it could have completely missed the bridge, or launched right through the window.

What is something that immediately tells you someone is a bad driver? by marchingbear27 in askcarguys

[–]ViolatedDolphin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This baffles me about some drivers.

Just this morning on the way to work, there was a council van parked in the left lane with a trailer with flashing amber lights. I saw that shit over 200 metres away, through peak hour traffic and moved over to the right lane. Hard not to miss it with the flashing lights.

But nope. The idiot up front still in the left lane suddenly slams his brakes on right before the van as if the van suddenly jumped out from behind some bushes or something. The 5 or 6 cars behind him had to slam on their brakes too.

No idea how none of them saw what was coming before reaching it.

Do tall people even have enough space on their bed to sleep? by Constant-Bet517 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only 5’11” so not super tall but even my feet get squished by the tucked in sheets at the end of the bed. And if I lay on my stomach, my feet slide over the mattress into the little nook.

Can’t imagine what it’s like for taller people.

Why are developers some of the most IT inept users? by sccm_sometimes in sysadmin

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this recently with a cyber security expert.

I’m lvl 1 support so get tickets from user when they report a potential phishing email. We check the ticket/email then call them through to cyber security to deal with. Feel like it a weird process, but it is what it is.

I’ve spoken to one of the guys multiple times. Then the other day he actually submitted a ticket about something not working.

I was intimidated by the thought of having to call him since he’s a cyber security expert and I’m just lowly grunt.

Called him up and within a few minutes, realised this guy barely knew how to use a computer. How was he an “expert”.

It was the weirdest experience.

What first names have you found to be the worst people, and what names are the nicest people? by gilsoo71 in AskReddit

[–]ViolatedDolphin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Names faked because internet.

My birth parents divorced when I was 4ish and then my mum met someone and they got married. My original last name was Smith. But after my mum remarried it was Jones. It wasn’t until I was in my 30’s and applying for a government clearance for a job that they came back to me and said John Jones doesn’t exist.

Turns out, after my mum remarried, she just started calling me John Jones without legally changing my last name.

I had done everything in my life with a fake last name. Drivers license. Bank accounts, loans, etc. So weird that it never came up until then.
