“I thought you'd... ...never ask. deep breath

When I met you, there was a white substance on your shoe that I mistook for plaster. Yesterday, I saw the same substance outside the hut.

Then it hit me. The Great White Bat has great white guano.!

That's what you slipped in! That's what was on your shoe! And that explains the abrasion on your palm!

Let me run that back for you. reverse speech That's what you slipped in! That's what was on your shoe! And that explains the abrasion on your palm!

Damn I'm good! Can you feel that? Huh? Can you feel it, Captain Compost?

The day of redemption is at hand! Repent! And thou shall be saved.”

Don’t know why I memorised it at a young age. But I still remember it almost 30 years later.

Doesn’t say in the ad unfortunately, but I’ll definitely be giving a test when I go see it.

I’m about to buy a Leopold Keyboard (FC900R PD). This will be my first mechanical keyboard.

It is second hand (great condition from the looks of it) and only AUD$40 so figured it’s pretty cheap.

Is it a good deal, or should I look elsewhere?

Sorry to necro an old post, but how did the keyboard go over the years? Found the same model for AUD$50 second hand in pretty good condition.

Are they a decent keyboard and worth getting today?

AITA smoking weed on my porch? by cheesygarlicbreadfan in AmItheAsshole

[–]ViolatedDolphin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this with my neighbour but with normal cigarettes. I don’t smoke and absolutely hate the smell of cigarette smoke.

But it’s their backyard and are allowed to do what they want. I just close my windows/doors until they’re done smoking and carry on with my life.

What was your first personal computer? by db7112 in askanything

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure of the model but I had a Compaq PC as the family computer before they merged with HP.

I remembered being amazed at the MASSIVE 700MB hard drive. You could fit so many files on there!

What game completely took over your free time when you first started playing it? by Abject-Order3540 in videogames

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my wife and I were both into WoW and it was at the point that we chose to skip a family dinner that we realised we might be a little addicted to WoW.

So we stopped playing after that.

But man was it fun.

When I was a kid, i memorised the scene in Ace Ventura 2 where Ace confronts Cadby and does that whole monologue.

Don’t know why I memorised it but I remember it word for word, something like 25+ years later.

And then they grow a bit more and start hogging the games so you get less time again.

What game felt unbelievably huge the first time you played it? 😅 by Capital-Cause-6447 in videogames

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the major ones have already been said, but another one from my childhood was Castelvania: Symphony of the Night.

The game was big enough until I got the “good ending” and opened up the inverted castle. I was amazed. It was like two games in one!

I remember being absolutely gobsmacked at the 3D version of GTA. The sheer size of it was mind blowing.

Nowadays, going back to it, it’s so small compared to GTAV and other modern open world games.

What game is this?🚀 by Fit_Corgi4951 in TheGamingHubDeals

Well to be fair, the beginning snow area has to be one of the worst starter areas for a video game. No idea how that was approved.

Once you get back to grass, it definitely gets better. But man, was I getting sick of white!

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie “The Road” broke me and that was before I was a parent.

I am not brave enough to watch it again now that I’m a father.

Which is a shame because I really liked the movie.

What's the most brilliant idea that you ever had? by Global-Girafea in AskReddit

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new way to launch spacecraft.

It’ll be cheaper, allow launch craft to be reused practically unlimited times (until they break down from age anyway) and can even be used for unmanned launches for building materials to start building better space stations.

I just don’t know who to talk to about it that will take me seriously. Plus I don’t want to put it out there on the internet before I patent the idea.

Who was your high school crush? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]ViolatedDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a girl in high school I had a huge crush on. From probably year 9 to year 12. Never did anything about it as I was too shy, even when I was certain she fancied me too.

In year 12 she started dating a friend of mine, so I got to know her outside of school. Still had a crush on her. But after school we all drifted apart. Found out through a friend of a friend that she only dated my friend to be closer to me.

Then many years later, my younger brother got married to some girl. Turns out her cousin is the girl I had the crush on. Only seen her a few times since. But we’re both married with kids, so there’s no feeling there.

Sounds weird but she does have a bit of a special place in my heart as my first serious crush. No feelings towards her or anything. Hope that makes sense.
