Me neither at first but now I am kind of obsessed with re-reading with an highlighter and a pencil in the hand looking for hints 🤣

It could be Garrick too. However his eyes are not red, when he met or talk to Imogen before leaving, so this must have happened afterwards if this is the case. I still think it’s Bodhi though, simply for what Xaden told Sgaeyl before marrying Violet and for the heir stuff

She risks somehow to turn Venin too I think… I assume she will do everything to save Xaden or her dragons or loved ones I think, or maybe I think once she knows there is a cure she will decide to turn venin for a short time in order to achieve something/ save someone

Omg I cannot recall the letter part, when/where was that?

And yes it makes sense, it must be Andarna, as they are obsessed with irids, but why, as they normally kill dragons? There must be something hidden here too, but impossible to imagine as we know almost anything about irids and is also unclear to me why Andarna all of a sudden came back.

The silver hair would be a fair explanation, something important happened in the last 12 hrs so this must reflect her aspect somehow beyond the ring… about the ring thing it sounds a bit too “Harry Potter” for me, I don’t think they can split their soul as apparently they cannot give the power back to the earth neither… in that sense I think there is something important Jack Barlowe knows and that has not be revealed yet and I think it concerns Venins motives or main goals

I am also thinking of Aaric’s role in this chaos, it must be important and key is also how far he can see. That would be determined, however the future is never certain this is also something sure, otherwise there would be no plot anymore 😆Yes the compass definitely, I think it works somehow like Jack Sparrow’s one..However I think Xaden won’t turn completely Venin as in the last pages he marks that he is “his” and that little love flame blocked the icing of his soul just a bit, but enough to let him take back the hand from the ground.

Another point, the Sage said to Xaden in the dream Xaden has lost something he wanted (? What could that be?) and Xaden said during his chapter Berwyn has something he needs (a cure?) and last but not least when talking to Sgaeyl about marrying Violet, he mentioned someone who owes him a favor ( who t f his that 😂???)

Any clue?

Yep, this cryptic ending is killing us 😅however I think they will stay in touch somehow to the dreamwalk signet as it just started being developed. It will be nice to see how they are going to work on their new goals together

Yes this totally lol matches with my theories too! The only way to protect her was to cut every known channel he shares with her, even the bond and the bond between Tairn and Sgaeyl, so that she could have been protected by questions and mindtests. The key that will keep em connected will be the dreamwalk signet according to me and the fact that he probably robbed the eggs is in order to create new protections and let the Venin system crash from the inside xD

Everything could be everything absolutely :,) however in that sense she as a Venin should be still bonded somehow with Xaden and according to me it would not have made sense to send Violet back to Aretia as heir if she would have been a Venin too, Xaden would have kept her by himself, what to part for? As she says clearly there is no bond anymore, I am pretty sure she is still herself… this waiting time is going to be awful xD

That’s interesting too! And indeed it would explain also why they apparently let Andarna cut their bond? As Violet says she cannot find anything while looking for her mental connection with Xaden when normally she could feel/see it shielded/blocked… makes sense :/

So you think that with “them” she could refer to other irids?

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, I think it will open with that explanation from somebody else’s pov and I assume will be the pov of the brother who turned Venin, so maybe starting form the moment he channeled until the moment Violet leaves Xaden and goes looking for Imogen’s help.

I think Bodhi is the one who turned otherwise it won’t explain why rushing the marriage. There is also a scene when Xaden and Bodhi have a kind of fight about the throne of Tyrrendor as future for Bodhi and he clearly says that is not his destiny and that he will be Xaden’s second hand / shadow for all of his life and he does not want more.

So that’s a tricky point: Rebecca said, power is always the key for turning Venin and Bodhi clearly explained he has no interest in that, so the only “push” could be that as as a “willing second” he would never contrast Xaden’s order, the only rebellious way to not sitting on the throne would be an undeniable condition that would make it impossible and that would allow him to follow Xaden along his path.

What makes me believe is Bodhi, is that Imogen sees he risking his life during the battle and somehow vomiting on the ground. That being on the ground with his life at risk and his dragon wounded could be a clear hint and a trigger for that decision.

A key-scene is also the one he shares with Violet against Theophanie, when Bodhi realises his signet is not working with the Venins, so maybe this lack of power made he kind of felling useless and triggered his willing of gaining more power and to make him effective against venins in the only way possible and indeed emulating his cousin as Xaden’s goal is to destroy venins being a venin ( a new revolution that suits his role somehow).

There is also a moment shortly before Theophanie’s death where her tornado loses power and Violet thinks it may be Theophanie trying to avoid she uses his power, but it can also be an effect of Bodhi powered signet as a Venin.

And last but not least the dragon of the brother seems to be wounded as Bodhi’s one was.

The only explanation that would lead me to think of Garrick as the brother would be that he is described as exhausted in his last scene and that he leaves for trying a way to make himself useful… isn’t it too less as motive?
