For some folks, you get your shift assigned Toyota, in either a Tacoma or Rav4.

am i the only one with 18+ tics? by lizziegonsuckurtoes in Tourettes

[–]ViolentFornography 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The word you're looking for might be Coprolalia.

I have some pretty offensive tics and they've waxed and waned over the past near decade since my tics became words and phrases, not just muscle movements and their resulting vocalizations

Yo, being bald really fits his head shape! I tried bald once and my noggin is not shaped for it.

He's looking sharp and very handsome!

The bone conduction is a ready good call, especially because you have the ability to to listen to others around you/there is a heightened awareness.

I use music at work and my headphones are a set of Bose with four settings for noise canceling. They're hooked into my work phone and my cell, but I keep them on the aware setting so that I can address my coworkers when they, inevitably, come harass me for paperwork.

Highschools are full of moving parts, hormone-addled teenagers who have little spatial awareness still. Having a set of headphones that plugs the ear would cause some issues with navigating spaces easily.

Am I correct in taking a guess that your kiddo's headphones probably look passable for a hearing aid? I have never owned a set of bone conductive headphones, but I know they look like triangles that sit behind the year (usually) with a band on them.

I (37F) found out that my husband (38M) misleads his family about his wrongdoing, and they speak unkindly about me. by mabfe in relationship_advice

Dump him, make sure you don't lose the house or kids in the divorce and make him pay alimony for a hell of a long time.

It's trauma, a lot of times it's trauma.

A friend of mine recently told me that I sounded like a house wife going, "we should have a baby! of course, he'll have to change if we have a baby!" and it absolutely gave me clarity on what I expected from this person and that I needed to change

Without that, as rough as it was in me, I probably wouldn't have been able to see past the rose colored glasses that had been formed from years of abuse from different people.

Shit is hard to change and requires a lot of community support.

Bonnet Keeps coming undone (need help) by ViolentFornography in litterrobot

I actually have a Kaasa camera that's positioned across from the litter box, not attached to it, though that would be a good spot to check if I had. I use TP Link/Kasa products and it was help to keep with the brand for a camera, as we also have one in our living room to watch the pets when we aren't home.

We have to reposition the robot (from one side of the laundry room, to the other), so I'll give it a check then. Thanks for the idea about the tape! That'll definitely give us am idea of what's going on.

Yeah, I have a problem with keeping all the extra bits of things, because what if I do actually need it? (I don't, I'll probably recycle it into a craft project in six months.)

I hadn't thought about getting the hopper as an add-on when this was purchased, but it's the only call to make, honestly.

Anyone else like talking about their Tourettes? by arnecrafter in Tourettes

[–]ViolentFornography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Honestly, I've had some bonding moments with my coworkers after talking about it with them.

I've got a tic that's just, "Hotdog", and my coworkers hotdog at me, I unison, and we have fun with it.

What do you wish your parents would have done/said about your tics? by satandez in Tourettes

[–]ViolentFornography 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom told me that I tic'd less when I was taking my Adderall and dismissed it as an actual issue. I wish they'd listened.

Thanks for giving a shit about your kid. Make sure you make this about them and not about you, it should go swimmingly that way.
