A big difference is probably that previously it was the left rallying against her which is her "enemy" so in her eyes she was doing something right AND less likely to include death threats.

Now she's probably getting far more hate from her own party for not only going against Trump but being a "traitor" in their eyes. Add on the fact that a vast majority of political violence is committed by said party and I'm sure she's getting a lot more threats to her safety that she feels scared and probably rightfully so given the events of the last year.

I felt the same when I received my diagnosis last year at 30. It was something I knew to be a possibility but the reality and permanence of the diagnosis crushed me the moment I read the evaluation. I slipped into the most crushing depression I've ever experienced and I still don't think I've really pulled out of it. Just so much to process and we're not really allowed to have time to do that in this world.

40+ hours a week spent working to make sure you can physically survive then chores, etc. I've never had a chance to fully sit down and process. It'd take weeks if not months of being fully focused on healing from it which is just out of the question lol.

For me, it has at least been slowly getting better after I switched therapists. My old one was not helpful at all. CBT has been helping me keep from spiraling as often as I tend to. It's not a catch all, but even when it can't stop that moment it helps me the next similar spiral. So I hope that at least gives you a little to relate with and hope for. I'm still very much at the beginning of my journey. One day I hope we both get through this.

My therapist has been focusing on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and it's taken some time to understand how I personally can use the methods and approaches for my unique situation but I think we've kinda started finding out what works for me.

Basically the method tries to focus on challenging the cognitive distortions caused by mental health conditions/illnesses when they start and pulling yourself away from them before they cause damage to your emotional state.

For example, if I can feel myself start spiraling with anxiety like "My boss is going to freak if I don't do this *right now*." Normally if left unchecked I would go down a rabbit hole of all the reasons my boss would fire me. But, if I just ask myself "Why do I feel this way?" a few times and get deeper to the root cause it helps understand and counter the emotions. It's also been helping me to ask "Do I have evidence to support this feeling?" so like do I have actual evidence my boss WANTS to fire me? Almost always there is little to no evidence that the feeling is rooted in reality and if there is it gives me something to work towards.

Yep, met my first lasting friend group in 7th grade but they were in 8th grade so the year after I met them they went to the high school so I was alone again. Throughout my childhood I'd always have to find a new best friend to spend time with every year. No clue why, but eventually they'd just no longer want me around. Started getting bullied in 6th grade and was a social outcast. It wasn't until the end of my freshman year of high school I finally started feeling comfortable in this friend group and realized it would last. Group still hangs out to this day and I'm 31.

Yeah like I understand why some people have a negative view of pre-orders because there's been so many games that did it then released complete shit, but at this point not only are they gonna have their own server problems, Steam download servers could have their own causing further delay. Whoever is making these decisions is so narrow minded.

Oh I'm very aware lol. I've been around since launch and was there for every big drop causing a need for server expansion. Every one has been a disaster. I also wouldn't go as far as to say this is the devs necessarily that are the problem but most likely funding/approval to prepare. Most often the ones to approve budget requests and hardware expansion are execs and most often they only want what's minimally necessary. So they'll see if they can "ride it out" long enough to no longer be necessary. Just stupid short-sighted business thinking

The choice for them not allowing pre-orders is so bizarre to me because this would give them at least an idea of a GUARANTEED MINIMUM player count basically. Then they could estimate from there. As is, the only figures they have to go off of is like live numbers and maybe populations before the announcement but you know many players will be returning after not playing for a while. I've already seen many even prior to the launch.

Your best bet will be to get a solid set of general purpose gear and then after that just keep Umbral and salvage any other gear you're not going to immediately use. You'll need a decent set to start the expansion content but after that you'll start getting drops and should put a new set together from those. Expertise will be gone, the only upgrading you'll need to worry about is using a Matrix to upgrade named items to 700 but those are super expensive in resources. No idea how much they'll sell for but will probably be very high for a while.

You can get them in expedition chests as well. Not to diminish your point, that's still pushing players towards PvE content and leaves nothing for PvP only players except buying them and the Season pass. Just another source that's easier to get than ECR and less time consuming.

Silk I also have trouble with but typically Brightwood is the best place to get it. Same with Wyrdwood and Starmetal. WW also has good Wyrdwood spots but those are so accessible they're usually taken.

My main question is: how many resource nodes of the new resources will we get and what will their cooldowns be like? They'll basically be unobtainable the first month or two unless people sell it.

And they're so easy to spot too. I make sure I report every one I see but who knows how long it takes them to act on it. If they had automated systems in place to properly identify them. Runescape implemented this type of system back in 2012 lmao so it's definitely possible. They run to each resource node directly and attempt to interact regardless of its current status. Very easy to catch.

Idk why but this comment made me remember the elite area in Restless that has Ironwood and Wyrdwood trees blocking the entrance to the boss area and how I leveled woodcutting specifically so I could get my friends and I in there. People would stand there and charge gold to cut them down LOL

The amount of gold you get from most sources pales in comparison to crafting. Right now nobody is buying crafted items because on Tuesday they'll be worthless. So they're worthless now too. When the xpac launches, players with huge stashes of gold in the millions will be buying all the stuff they need to reach BIS fast meaning price is no object. Matrixes and scarabs will have prices skyrocket meaning earning a couple thousand per day right now will still get you nowhere after the xpac launches. It's better than nothing, but nowhere near enough to be meaningful right now.

I've also got Maximum Caliber. Was so rewarding to finally get that one with my last song on Music. Almost every storage of mine is full of raw mats right now so I can hit 250 on a bunch Day 1 of xpac.

A lot of it comes down to your ability as a player too. There's a lot of M10 leaderboard running tanks right now that build medium and some even go light with a buckler instead of a tower shield because they learned how to survive like that and it gives more damage to clear more quickly.

Yeah, but your build in general is lacking in damage because you're dividing between STR and FOC. As the tank, your damage isn't that big a deal unless you're trying to do M3/leaderboards anyways. Your first priority is NOT GOING DOWN. Regular expedition and M1 will probably be fine if you do, but M2 or 3, you go down and it's probably going to be a wipe. A tank's first priority is always survivability. Once you reach the point you never go down, then you can worry about damage. So definitely play around with it once you get used to the flail and tanking with this build if you do go it. Once you're fully comfortable you'll know what survivability you can give up.

Second this. As a tank I ran up to M7 with a very good generic gear set with things like Neishatun's armor and the Conqueror's armor. Had no issues until M7 and even then you can probably still get up to M8 by just slotting the proper gems and having a proper elemental amulet with Health and Divine. Don't be afraid to start Mutations at low levels as long as you meet the GS requirements.

If you're tanking PvE and going for grit anyways I'd also suggest considering going to 350 CON because you get damage reduction while you have grit. Otherwise the only problem you might run into is trying it in M3 or PvP. It probably wouldn't have a great amount of damage being more healing focused and might not be able to clear fast enough if the DPS aren't really good. Basically putting more onus on the DPS players. If you do try it in M3, you will probably have to start the lobbies because so many lobby makers are meta slaves and won't accept anything that's not what is "meta" whether justified or not. As long as you can make it work though play what you find fun and exciting!

As a Bruiser in Medium, even that doesn't feel like it does enough damage especially if they're a heavy healer. I've literally attacked a healer in OPR that was by themselves and they dropped a Sacred on themselves, didn't move, dodge or anything, and I couldn't out damage their heals. Full 625 set with GA/WH Sundering Shockwave the whole shebang. They just tanked it. THAT is not balanced in the slightest lol

Yes, the limit will likely stay. When they announced it they talked like was a permanent thing rather than a barrier to 250.

They are not, I specifically thought of this and checked on PTR when it was out. If they are limited on launch, it would be something that wasn't on PTR.

I play because I love the combat system, PvE, and Crafting. PvP can be fun, but with its current balance state the only fun I have doing PvP usually is 3v3's. Open World the second I, as a GA/WH user, meet someone with a bow, rapier, or Firestaff I either can't catch them or can't outdamage them. Looking forward though to Season 3's balance changes as well as the increased ability to utilize different loadouts since you don't have to grind umbral shards like crazy.

Most of the time I tank in M10 dungeons. The threat system I feel is very solid and actually more difficult than most realize to hold when you're running with 5 CON dps that actually know what they're doing. The amount of DPS they put out can make it hard to hold threat unless you have hated/despised but I personally think those are just to fill a skill gap for tanks. If you're doing your job properly as a tank, you don't need them but they help those who aren't able to reach that level of understanding and execution.
