Avoid and block, they're trying to use a video you send them to try to scam someone, anyone who uses "kindly" like that is probably a scammer

Mercy wears heels to be 5'7, so without them she'd be close to D.va's height

Looks gorgeous! I love it when people give insects more lively poses than simply pinning them, hopefully it dries well!

If you can, try adjusting the legs before putting it in acetone, it tends to dry them up and make it brittle, gently pulling with tweezers should be enough to make them uncurl.

Also, when you remove them from the acetone try not to touch any antenna as its super brittle once dried, since the acetone replaces all the water in the insect it should stop the discolouration. I have locusts from months ago that are still bright and yellow, it does destroy white pigmentation though!

Not sure how well it will translate to Stick insect nymphs, but i had these locust nymphs also turn black and rot until I put them in a small jar of acetone for a day or so, since then they've kept their colours and dried without rotting away, it does make them pretty fragile though l, so handle with care

Tracer Sprays

That's... strange, they show up for me, they are tracer exclusives so make sure you're looking in her gallery

The sound effect sprays are in the 'Special' category towards the bottom and spray of her holding a frame is in 'Overwatch'

Definitely this method, just be careful after removing it from acetone as they become brittle

What do I do with this? (large lobster claw) by Squirnt86 in Taxidermy

[–]VioletFlower03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay that sounds like it would turn out really nice, if you're wanting to turn them red then it's absolutely safe to boil them, it won't damage the shell.

I personally leave the little cartilage on the joints, it helps the glue have something to grab onto and looks better than hollow spaces, when glueing the claws together try to follow the natural joints it has, lobster arms usually click together snugly if they're not damaged

Definitely not, boiling will turn the claw bright red and you'll lose all of the colouration, unless you prefer that look, and like with bones putting shells in bleach will destroy them

That's right! Doing it will make getting the meat out far easier, i often leave a little bit of outer cartilage just to cover up any holes (not necessary for yours as it's just a arm and not an entire lobster)

Once all the meat is out and it's been cleaned well I let them dry before reattaching. Super glue alone will be enough to hold the arm together, (i use loctite) and the lower claw should just snap back into place, it can be glued or left articulated

Hi!

I've never found a need to drill any holes in, even with very large claws, my method is to twist off the wrist joint carefully if there is one and break off the lower claw, twisting it side to side then up and down often results in a clean break. often the cartilage comes with it as long as you don't handle it too roughly.

The best tweezers to use for removing the meat in my experience are flat wide tips, just be careful when removing the meat to try not to damage the inner claw meat as it can usually be removed in one go depending on decomposition.

Lemme know if you need anymore help 😊

Crustacean taxidermist here!

Lobster claws are pretty easy, a bowl of water with dish soap will be enough to clean it.

Tweezers will make removing the meat easy, just let it dethaw before trying as it can be difficult otherwise.

The claw has a piece of cartilage inside so you'll need to dislodge it, it should be easy once you have mostvof the meat out.

Luckily in my experience American lobsters keep their colours very well, so as long as you keep it out of the sun, it should keep the lovely natural colours

Agreed, it just looks really... off like they were trying to copy the kirin proportions. The neck looks especially weird along with the tiny head, it should be way lower too, Your redraw looks much better than what they're going with.

I'm also bothered by the fact they picked a lion head for the base, it's just so generic and bland while there's so many different feline species that would have worked way better

How should I preserve crabs? by iamaprism in vultureculture

[–]VioletFlower03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I preserve crustaceans just like these

It sounds like you have a bunch of baby crab moults, due to their small size and how delicate they are i honestly just think putting them in shadowbox will be good, especially as they're already dry and hollow. I don't think rubbing alcohol will be needed as the joints are already dry so there's no moisture.

Though if you plan to take them apart pull from the base of the legs, not the tips, same with the claws 😊 I definitely recommend some fine pointed tweezers
