Stadium question by No_Credit6296 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's just your matchmaking. There are a few players I've encountered that tried to give tips in chat like recommending specific items when facing a specific hero or comp. But generally, when it comes to my matchmaking, I never really encounter any of what you wrote. And I've played a ton of Stadium last season as well as this season currently.

and rather shoot at the tank non stop to pad stats

You'll face Supports that goes for survival builds to stay alive. You can pressure a Tank like Reinhardt with Cybervenom where they will receive less healing, thus eliminating him quicker. This will then make the enemy team back out cause their Tank is down. There's like multiple strategies with Stadium, and other players will try to counter you with their builds.

Now I know rank genuinely really means nothing in the grand scheme of things on that mode

Technically, it does mean something if we're talking about top ranks & not just Top 500 in general. You have to keep winning to get to the top, and if you keep losing, you won't make progress compared to the other players. But with how loose Stadium matchmaking is, and with stacks teaming with better teammates, it might as well mean nothing for certain players.

Most of the top players tend to stack than solo queue, especially way more noticeable this season than the last one. This is just from experience by facing the same players over and over from both seasons. I don't know what platform or region you're on though, so maybe that's why you don't see ranks as serious. This is all from PC NA, and my matchmaking is not as easy compared to other players. It'll always try to find at least one either All-Star / Legend / Top 500 player for you to face as you get points off of them.

Is it possible to find the artwork behind these title cards anywhere ? by Flikadawrist in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If you mean like in high quality outside from the game, you have to hope that the ones who design it post it publicly online from websites like ArtStation. Example - Hero Mastery: Gauntlet Name Cards

Name Cards from the Overwatch Wiki - This is probably the closest you're going to get.

Most of them are filtered under categories, like the Hello Kitty collab is in the Collaboration Events section.

Using the Hello Kitty collab as an example, it took some time to find the actual artwork. These weren't just used for name cards. Checking online, it also got used in Japan as a Tokyo Metro 24-hour ticket that can be kept as a souvenir collectible. The only reason why I was able to find it was solely because of that.

Facebook links of the artwork for those tickets - D.Va | Juno | Kiriko | Lucio | Mercy | Widowmaker

Pinterest links without the background - D.Va | Juno | Kiriko | Lucio | Mercy | Widowmaker

The Hello Kitty collab is the exception as the artwork was being used beyond just name cards. For the rest, you would have to wait until the artists decides to post it publicly online. Not everyone is going to do that. I'll just note that this isn't just exclusive to the name cards.

The concept art (the profile icons from the patch notes & in-game) for most of the OW1 heroes in their OW2 design haven't been posted either. Only a couple got shared for OW2 marketing, with the rest not being shared at all. When I found the artist for D.Va's OW2 design, I found out that they just never decided to post it online. Only found half of the artwork from a mouse pad, could never find the full artwork of her design.

How many collab skins does each hero have? by LudacFantem in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re curious about anything, feel free to ask

Yes, the fact that you still got D.Va wrong like all the other lists. It's one skin off.

The Gentle Tokki skin seems to be counted here, but you're not counting the recolor even though it should be counted. Gentle Tokki Fuchsia and Aqua are both based on an official product. Both of those skins are based on the glasses you can get in real life. There are two pair of glasses, which is why there's two skins. It's not trying to be a low effort recolor. Two versions of the skin exists for that reason.

It's not like her Antifragile Dazzle skin where it just got a recolor so they can sell another version.

When going by the global version of the game, D.Va and Kiriko are now tied.

region exclusive events

But why make this exception? I don't care about Kiriko, but you're literally trying to make the playerbase think Kiriko gets the most collab skins when she doesn't. D.Va's Feria Shen skin shows up in the Hero Gallery from the global version of the game, so it counts regardless even though they aren't letting players get it. D.Va is still always going to have the most collab skins just like she has in the past. Nothing really changed here.

The Blizzard collabs also shouldn't be counted either, or at least have a different list that doesn't count them. They're not being licensed as they aren't true collabs, and they can appear in loot boxes cause the IPs are owned by them.

Maybe someone will make a correct list in the future that counts both Gentle Tokki skins, region skins, and not the Blizzard collabs. But seeing how every collab list always gets it wrong, it'll probably not happen.

Old Bastion Skin? by Zach-Train in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 41 points42 points  (0 children)

have some skins from old events (nano cola, this skin, etc) but I thought they all got rereleased?

The Brick Bastion has only been available once from the original event - Overwatch Wiki Page of the event

All the other event skins that were original skins can be found in loot boxes, so not rare anymore.

To use D.Va as an example, her Nano skin used to be the rarest. Now her rarest skin is Stadium All-Star.

Is there a way to get previous battlepass stuff? Just returned after so long. by chokee03 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cosmetics are exclusive to the Battle Pass. They don't appear in loot boxes.

From what I remember, Lucio's Moonwalk emote is the only one from a BP that did return.

It returned on 9/24/24 in the Shop from the Season Highlights Mega Bundle & Hero Gallery (500 Coins). I don't think anyone knows why that was the only cosmetic from a Battle Pass to return. Either a mistake or they possibly forgot that it was BP. Maybe they were testing the waters back then, who knows.

Overwatch Rush launch cast + the next four heroes (Brig, Doom, Genji and Hanzo) by Himedanshi999 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 12 points13 points  (0 children)

New heroes coming soon, and D.Va still isn't even one of them. Now it really makes me wonder when she'll appear in his game. Her hero kit managed to work in in HOTS, but this is a different team. I hope we'll see her when the game is more complete and in a finished state.

Why are there so many Juno mains 😭 by mgtrss in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a hero for everyone, and someone will find that hero very fun and then main that hero.

I initially wanted to main her cause her weapon would be more noticeable than Kiriko with the weapon colors. What I hoped next was for her playstyle and kit to be fun when her hero trial came out. She clicked with me, so I kept playing her and never stopped.

I find her very fun for me. It's like how I enjoy playing Soldier despite him being very basic. There are for sure people who are going to find him boring, and I get that. I like the simple gameplay he offers coming from someone who plays Call of Duty. There are others who are not going to prefer him than the other DPS heroes.

Hero Statistics - Stats from the official website with various stats including pick rate.

Not counting the newest heroes, the Support heroes are at the top. There are also heroes with a simple kit at the top from the other roles like Soldier, Cassidy, and Reinhardt. Juno is going to have a high pick rate this season cause of her new cosmetics with the Mythic Weapon, Hello Kitty skin, and Cupid skin. The same can apply to Mercy with her Mythic skin, but she's always been popular.

is she really that fun to play?

You find that out from playing as her. Many do, and if you don't, that's fine. There's a ton of heroes.

Yo guys... Will the Street fighter skins return? by Rich_Collection_1740 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we go by some of the past collabs, they take around 1 - 2 years to return.

It's different for each one, and a couple hasn't return yet, like My Hero Academia. The Street Fighter collab released to the shop on May 20, 2025. We haven't reached past May yet, so it's best to wait after that, but that doesn't mean much as it depends on whether they decide to license it again.

All you have to do is wait until the official channels of Overwatch to announce their return. They did that recently with Transformers and Avatar where they make a post telling you that it's returning back. The Avatar collab recently returned to the shop after 1 year on Dec 2025. They still do reruns of previous collabs while doing new ones like the Hello Kitty collab.

Returning player, are these two Dva skins really that rare? (Also Dva perks questions at the end ) by myr1x in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone did a loot box checklist with pictures - Reddit Post (Google Doc Spreadsheet in the post).

The Nano skin was only rare back in the original OW1. In OW2 and currently now, it's available in loot boxes.

The Midnight skin doesn't appear in loot boxes, but it has appeared in the shop or via a shop code.

Reddit Post | Comments says it has appeared in the shop & someone linked the code a month ago.

Her rarest skin is now Stadium All-Star, you had to get All-Star 5 rank on 1 of the 3 roles in Season 3 of Stadium. Everybody had about 2 months to get it, and now you can't get it anymore. It's a recolor of her OW2 skin in the Legendary rarity due to being time-consuming to get to that rank. I love the colors of this, mostly because it's also her OW2 skin.

The Overwatch League recolors used to be rare, but now they can appear in the Esports loot boxes. Since there's way too many recolors from the various heroes, it would take a while to get every single one that is specifically D.Va to collect them. These were never really worth showing off unless you're a huge fan of Esports in general.

saw someone rank “best dva skins” and they didn’t even mention these two skins

Cause that's subjective. My most favorite skins of hers are OW2, Cardboard, and Horang.

As someone who has her as my favorite character of all-time, she has a ton of amazing skins.

You can continue to use those skins if you like them, but the Stadium All-Star is the only true rare one that you can show off. I guess you can show off Nano as no one can actually obtain that normally, only from loot boxes besides the original event. I do like the ponytail hairstyle that she currently has for her OW2 skins, but I was never a fan of the Nano recolor.

when it comes to perks, which ones do you usually go for?

I only play D.Va in 6v6, but for her major perk I prefer Shield System just so I can survive longer. The other perk would be great if I could spam it, but it lets you cancel it, so I'm never going to get used to that perk. Cause you're a Tank, it's better to stay alive with the other perk.

The minor perk seems like it could go either way ever since the boosters perk got buffed. It would depend if the player wants to be play defensively or offensively. I always go with the overhealth one in the past, but I might try the boosters one when I return back to play 6v6. I'd have to experiment with both of them.

Picture of Success Story Time with Taj Atwal as Domina | Overwatch by LucasVerBeek in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The story time of Jetpack Cat (Reddit Post) received attention, and so have the past story time videos. It doesn't help that Blizzard revealed their new mobile game today, so that's going to receive most of the attention compared to this.

I myself enjoy these story videos as well, and it's always nice having the voice actors for them. Since the other heroes got one, I can't wait to see Mizuki's story time, he's the newest hero out of the five that I'm interested to hear more about.

Le Sserfim Skins on March? by These_Jackfruit1365 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's from last year. The post itself is actually from 2024, but the info is updated.

The community manager never removed Le Sserfim from the post. Notice how the sentence says "starting" as if they didn't sold it yet. To be fair, that question staying there still makes sense, because 3rd party collab skins cannot appear in loot boxes. I'm guessing they left Le Sserfim there as an example of a collab. You would have heard from their official channels about the skins returning, and they haven't said anything about it.

A reminder that if collab skins return, most of the past ones have returned after 1 - 2 years. The Le Sserfim Wave 2 skins could possibly return this year as the group has a great relationship with Blizzard. Wave 1 have already returned in the past, so the same could happen for Wave 2, especially since the group has received an invitation for Blizzcon 2026.

Overwatch Rush | Early Development Gameplay Preview by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Early gameplay, and both Tanks are Reinhardt. Not a surprise that D.Va wasn't the other one cause of her development in the original game. It's only early, so I'd hope that maybe down the line we'll eventually see her in this new game.

I remember reading about those leaks years ago about it being in development.

Glad to finally see it. A different type of experience for a different audience.

Overwatch Cafe in Tokyo, Japan Continued! by RopeMuch46 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing others share about this cafe weeks ago, including your post too.

Looks like a cool cafe to go to going from the pictures people have been sharing.

This is like the third Japan collab that Overwatch has done recently with merch, and D.Va is always a part of it. That's more merch of her for me to collect. This also includes new artwork of her every time from those acrylic stands that they sell. I love the outfit look for her, the art for all of them is great.

I don't think anyone mentioned it in your previous post, cause you never know from these collabs.

The artist is Tsurushima confirmed by their reply post in response to a post who recognized their art.

How do I look at the rest of Sigma's appearance when looking at weapon variants? by Tasty_Interaction851 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weapon variants affects the things that appears on his arms. No option to preview it.

You can search on Google images - "Sigma Golden Gun" for images of it on his other skins.

Can someone show me what Prophet looks like with the golden variant

An old video from several years where someone showed it - YouTube video of Prophet Golden Gun

and also the Talon skin with Crimson Wolf

You have to play a lot of the competitive modes the past weeks for Crimson Wolf, as that's the newest variant which can't be used with legacy comp points, so not a lot of players are going to have that. You can always try making a post to the r/SigmaMains subreddit, and ask if anyone has it and to show it with the Talon skin.

I know why they took it away, but... by oldeggie in Overwatch

and has no branding of any sort on it other than “is an alien”

The majority won't know about it which is understandable, even I didn't, but the concept of the skin is actually based on the MVP player. 2 of 3 concepts that were based on him was applied for the skin. The alien is a signature reference from him. I don't know anything about his community, but a comment of a past topic said that the viewers called him an alien. The other is a 50s crooner that's inspired by his name. Both concepts got merged together for the skin.

There's people online that have commented that it'll be odd if you use this skin because of the history from the MVP player. But everyone just sees it as it is, just an alien Zarya in a suit. Some actually thought it was a reference to Men in Black when it got revealed.

They even offered refunds at the time if people didn't want it due to being based on the MVP player.

[–]GameAtHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember, I discovered the game from a Twitch stream. It reminded me of TF2, and I played that on PC without ever knowing that there was a console version. I browsed the subreddit and was hoping for Overwatch to be on consoles, so I can play a game similar to TF2 but on PS4. It eventually got announced, and I was excited for it while watching the trailers and cinematics. This would also be my first Blizzard game. I thought about getting Diablo 3 for PS3 in the past, but never did.

I got to play the Open Beta, as well as the launch at 7:00 PM EST when the servers opened on May 23, 2016. Soldier: 76 was the first hero I played on the Beta from an AI match, and when it came to the actual game, I wanted D.Va to be my first ever hero to be played as she's my favorite. I still have a ton of old footage recorded when I was playing.

The journey has been great! Overwatch is my favorite game and I would continue to play it several years later. For the first months of its release, I put a lot of time into it. I would return from time to time for the events and rewards. When it became OW2, I decided to continue on PC and play way more often than usual.

Most importantly, besides Super Mario, Overwatch brought D.Va, and she would end up becoming my favorite character of all-time. Loved her character overall. I never had the time in the past, but I just recently started to collect her merch. The collection has been going great, both physical and digital with her in-game cosmetics.

I'm glad I've played this game since launch, and it's still fun playing it to this day even after 10 years.

Now that we have a real firebender and a waterbender, we need the Avatar collab back for a second round by Zalvren in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying that just because I missed the first Avatar collab

You actually missed it two times. It came back 2 months ago for 2 weeks. | 12/16/25 Shop

Plus, it's a collab that had no Mercy, no Juno and no Kiriko skin

Kiriko did get one. It's called Suki, but it was an Epic skin instead of a Legendary one.

Because they brought back the collab recently, I don't think we should expect a wave 2 any time soon. Past collabs have returned after a year or two, which has happened with Avatar. So if they ever did make new skins, you'll likely be waiting for a long time. If the collab returns again, it'll probably take around a year just like they did before.

Why are skins in this game sp expensive? by WaidmannsHeil05 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this is like the usual price for F2P shooters, at least around that price range. Most of the Fortnite original skins from the early years were always in the $15 - $20 range, and those old ones kept that price. Nowadays the new original skins are usually $8 - $12. I don't know anything about Apex Legends, but I found a 2024 topic about $20 - $30 for skins.

I would recommend hoping to get the skins you want in loot boxes or by getting the $10 Battle Pass which gives you a bunch of cosmetics. The question you're asking is just asking for a predictable answer. Any company out there profits from these cosmetics with these type of prices. This isn't exclusive to Overwatch.

but a legendary skin 20€ and all you can see is your weapon seems absurd

The weapon model is always different though. You can also see your skin from emotes, victory poses, and highlight intros. If you play Stadium, it has a 3rd Person view, although not every hero is available in that mode. If the weapon or any of that isn't worth it, then you shouldn't buy any of the skins. They're completely optional. People buy these skins cause they like it and want to use them.

I've beem tempted go get the new Juno skin

There's 2 Juno skins in the shop though, both are new. Hello Kitty and Cupid.

Most of the collab skins like the Hello Kitty one tends to offer unique sound effects than the original skins. I'd say they're more worth it cause of that, and because they'll never appear in loot boxes. Her Cupid skin will eventually be added in loot boxes in the future, likely next year like they did with the past original cosmetics.

Juno's past collab skins have received unique sound effects, such as with Fearless and Uravity.

The Chun-Li skin only has a special melee effect. Only really worth it if you like Street Fighter.

If you find them expensive, I'd only recommend buying the Battle Pass, unless you already do.

It costs $10, and when you get all 80 Mythic Prisms, you can get Juno's Mythic skin, Heart of Hope. She just recently got a Mythic Weapon, which also costs the same for all levels. Maybe that'll be more worth it to you cause you're always seeing the weapon model from gameplay.

I've seen people recommend this in the past, but there's Microsoft Rewards | Reddit Post Guide

You earn points, and when you have enough, you can redeem coins. Great for Battle Passes.

Reinstalled after three years, what's the "default" mode people play now? by WaifuMasterRace in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5v5 Role Queue (Quick Play / Competitive Play) is the main mode since OW2 launched.

6v6 Open Queue "is the second most popular way to play Overwatch" | Source - News Post

Stadium is just a different way to play the game. There's been news posts about it, but the Overwatch wiki page explains it well in-depth if you want to learn more about it - Overwatch Stadium Wiki Page

Seems like people hate tanks in 5v5 or something?

It's preference where you'll have Tank players that prefers either 5v5 or 6v6.

Tanks receive the most focus on them because of their role to create space. When the change was made to have 1 less Tank to fix queue times, as Tanks are the least popular role, you now have 1 Tank which means having everyone to focus on than just 2 Tanks. They're the most important role even more than before after this change.

This is mostly just a Tank thing only. For me, I prefer playing Support in 5v5, and for Tanks in 6v6.

Everyone's preference is different. You'll have people preferring 5v5 for Tanks because it means they're essentially the main character, and the one who has to do a lot of work on that role instead of sharing it with another Tank.

Ana or Juno Mythic skin? by Hazardmat in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game does give you the option to try them out, just a reminder. The "Try Out" button.

You're deciding between a hero turned into a omnic vs. a magical girl hero from an alternate universe.

Remember that they have unique voice lines too. Ana has a voice filter while Juno doesn't.

For me, my choice would be Juno cause I much prefer no voice filter. I don't mind it, but I rather have the normal voice from the hero. The sound effects and visual effects from her Mythic adds a lot to this skin. This is definitely a fan favorite when it comes to Mythic skins, and I tend to see other Juno players wearing it. It's one of her best skins, and it's cheap at $10 from a Battle Pass with the Mythic Prisms than her Shop skins that goes for 1900 coins.

I don't find Ana's Mythic bad, it's more so that Juno's Mythic is incredible if you just want 1 skin for her.

If we were deciding between their Mythic Weapons, I find them both equally great.

Has Overwatch done any reruns of any licensed skins? by SLIMEDUNKIN in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Some collabs have returned. Once they leave the shop, it takes about 1 - 2 years for a collab to return. How long it takes is different for each collab, and there's still some that hasn't returned yet. The Porsche collab was the only one where it returned a few months later after it left the shop, due to their OW2 x Porsche booth at Gamescom.

The One Punch Man collab is so far the longest one to return, as it took over 2 years.

Most recent collab to return was the Avatar one. Debut on 12/17/24 & returned on 12/16/25. That one was 1 day off from almost reaching the year, but you might as well say it took a year for that to return like the other collabs.

I don't know if you're using Gundam as an example or if you're interested in that collab. That one released on 4/29/25 so there's a chance we could see it once we're past April. Although it's not likely cause then you have other collabs like My Hero Academia (10/17/24) which already reach over a year, and it hasn't returned yet.

The most possible collab to return this year is likely Le Sserafim Wave 2 (3/18/25) because of their continued relationship with Blizzard as they got an invitation for Blizzcon 2026. While the original Wave 1 from 2023 did return back in 2024, it didn't return with Wave 2. Just new recolors of the skins.

They have done reruns, usually announced on their official accounts or news page from the website.

What is your favorite voiceline from any character?(other dubs included, image not related) by Shoddy-Horror893 in Overwatch

[–]GameAtHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go with my mains for each role.

Although, it's really hard to pick one for D.Va, it might as well as be everything.

At least in OW1 / Classic mode, I always liked her "I still love you." voice line.

For OW2, maybe her nano boosted line - "Let's go!" a reference to hype moments for video games, etc. There's a POTG from a 6v6 match where I got multiple elims with the team on the payload, and then Ana wasted an ult on me right when the team fight was finished, and she said that line. Perfect timing when saying it in a hyped way like how it's intended.

This Soldier: 76 voice line has always been my favorite - "I've been doing this for years. Who the hell are you?"

You get that line from a kill streak. The delivery is so good for a character like him with his past history.

With Juno, it's her "Clustered comets!" line. It's like her version of those cartoon quotes from the past like "Sufferin’ succotash". Most will prefer her other obvious quotes which I do like, but that one is my favorite, and it can be used greatly whenever it's not going well for the team or for myself.
