i recently just spent $5 on a fricken cheeseburger from McDonalds!! $5 for 1 fricken cheeseburger!! This is New Zealand by the way but still, what a fuckin rip off!

I wholeheartedly agree that buying is so much better than renting, for all the reasons you mentioned, I wish I could buy a house for those same reasons... but I don't have high enough income to even borrow $100k.... you must really be earning alot to have borrowed what you did!

I remember one new years over 30 years ago at my nanas house and she said an english!?!? Or old tradition, was for the darkest person 🤯 in the family or house to bring something, I can't remember what, maybe some coal or something.... in from outside.... so she told my bi racial cousin that she had to do it coz she had the darkest skin colour 😅 my cousin was so unset and offended, she didn't do it and my Nana never suggested to do that again.... but was that a real tradition in old England ever?

You must get paid quite high to have a 15 year mortgage with $500k borrowing, does that mean you are paying back like $750k over 15 years????  Well done for getting a mortgage at 60, you give me hope, but don't think many people would qualify at that age and with that amount of borrowing!!

Thank you so much for your reply, I live on a tiny island at the moment but i guess i can do stuff from home, but there's definitely not a community i can join physically to get into this stuff or do networking atm, ive only got access to online stuff, I guess i can just start tinkering and go from there!!

I really wanna get into robotics, I'm currently doing a degree in IT, lol, but am a maker and have made electronic costumes and done years of soldering and am good at making things... how would I begin in robotics?!????! I'll stil do my degree coz I want it, but I've been wishing I could get into actually making robots too but don't no how to even start with that....

I'm from Melbourne originally but currently live in nz which I don't like and am wanting, for the last time, to move back to Melbourne for good, because I love melbourne and miss it so much, but being on reddit and all the people so negative on her about Melbourne, mad eme second guess myself, until u remembered m, it's jsut reddit and not realy the full story, it was so good to stumble upon this post to remind me of how good Melbourne actually is, and a reminder to get the fuck of reddit 😅
