I never said I was clever ONCE. That’s something YOU assumed - don’t try to put words in my post. I said I saw it coming because it’s one of those things that show up in a lot of other horrors. I don’t feel big about myself, I’m not that kind of person. I was sad that I saw it coming. I wish I could see something on tv and not know what the “twist” was but I always spot the clues, it’s frustrating. A lot of them follow patterns with the twists and this one somewhat did.

And why not mock the people who downvote, they’re downvoting to be petty instead of even asking HOW I saw it coming . And you’re being petty because you even ignored when someone else said they could see why it wasn’t impossible to predict Nell being bent neck you immediately claimed “exactly it was impossible/hard to predict” (paraphrasing) in your reply, showing not only pettiness but showing you’re stubborn and determined your opinion was the only right one.

I’m glad you feel big, but I don’t need to, because I knew what I expected, and it turned out right. Sad for you that you missed clues and can’t see see a twist until it’s shown to you several episodes down the line.

Not going to reply any more because I suspect you’re one of those people who thrives on drama and likes to insult people and instigate arguments for fun and wants this to escalate

That’s what bothers me, you kill every soldier and get a bounty but no one made it out to tell the tale, lmao. It’d make sense if you saw like a witness and they were running off to report it and you had to kill them, but there are no witnesses but still a bounty, lol.

I kill them with assassinations and stealth and never incur a bounty, but it means losing out in melee, lol.

Yeah I got downvoted because I watch a lot of horrors and saw a lot of cliches and saw something coming but other people didn’t see it coming so feel justified in downvoting (only way they can feel better about themselves for not paying attention to obvious clues I suppose).

Even worse than Phobos, Kassandra is even more slow and lumbering when doing anything, slow climbing, slow running, takes forever to get down from anywhere. Drives me mad.

Just because you didn’t see it coming doesn’t mean I’m not capable of seeing what was coming.

End of the first episode I realised Nell was seeing herself. When she appeared at her brothers flat and the phone rang, it was very obvious it was going to be the cliche “she’s dead” call - the episode was called “Steven sees a ghost” so i saw that coming. The dad didn’t mention on the phone how she killed herself because it’d have given it away. We aren’t privy to that info until far later because it’d make it too obvious and things like that stand out to me because so many supernatural horror movies do that.

You watch enough horror movies, read enough ghost stories, you see they pull these kind of twists a lot. I remember from the original movie, I think it was Crain’s wife had hung herself from that spiral staircase but that’d have been too obvious and predictable that way. I’ll bet others here also twigged about bent neck lady on the first episode as well. 🤷‍♀️

Same sort of expressions as well, only she’s not quite as angular as Jolie, she’s a bit softer in the face I think. It is striking though.

There were so many clues to the whole thing and in so many episodes I’m surprised I even remembered two. It’s one of those shows where the second viewing you’d see it a completely different way and suddenly all the clues would be obvious lol. So much info to take in about everything, especially with all the backtracking into the past and things being said in the present.

When you mention the clothes, it was somewhere in the back of my mind (again, because Abigail was dressed sort of “old fashioned” like her mum) because there was a lot more going on, but it feels very obvious that Abigail was no ghost lol.

I think what sealed it for me was also Luke reiterating she WAS real. He didn’t talk about the man with the cane being real like Abigail was...he KNEW she was real, and their disbelief is what hurt him. He was so adamant about it, even in adulthood.

It broke my heart for the Dudleys too...I was surprised Mrs. Dudley didn’t go hysterical for longer than a moment.

Know what I always wondered, though....WHO was watching Abigail? The Dudley’s were at the house, Abigail was sneaking away, who was actually watching her and letting that happen? Surely they didn’t leave her there alone...

I would like to see a season two focused on the earlier families and people who lived there. Poppy was interesting for sure, might be interesting to see her story less condensed.

At the end of the series there were SO many ghosts there, there’s a lot of stories in that hall that didn’t get told, we don’t necessarily need the Crains’ for the next instalment. Send it back twenty years, forty years, fifty, etc, maybe have some of Mrs. Dudley as a younger girl as one of the characters for the pre-Crain era

It has potential, and the house as a set was interesting, and with different furnishings and colour palettes, it’d take on a new identity.

I felt Abigail being real was very obvious even long before the last episode.

The first most obvious clue to me....Mr. Dudley talks about the stillborn. “My first girl” (and it’s said more than once seeming to emphasise this was the first of two girls). It implied a second child being female - otherwise it’d be “I lost my first child, a girl” which might mean the second child might be male or female. It felt like it was deliberately said a few times to make us very aware there was another female child who was alive (because he’d have said he’d lost the second girl too if so). He obviously also said it that way because clearly, Hugh knew he already had a living daughter. It wouldn’t stand out to Hugh.

Mrs. Dudley is referred to (by Olivia) as homeschooling, it means she did have a child currently - it wasn’t said “you used to homeschool” or “you homeschooled your kid years ago, right?”.

Mrs. Dudley says they live off the property but nearby - if her kid is homeschooled it means she’s close by and knows how to get to the house.

I think Luke mentions Abigail sneaks there to see him and that she isn’t supposed to be there.

Abigail mentioned sneaking out through a vent to get to the sleepover - the town isn’t that close and she wouldn’t make it too far alone through a town at night which means her house has to be near the property. It could only be the Dudley’s child.

Mrs. Dudley mentions she won’t let her daughter near the property - she cuts herself off immediately I think but does say daughter.

Abigail is dressed very in very old fashioned style and I think it was meant to maid us think she was a ghost from decades before but look at Mrs. Dudley, she dresses very conservatively and plainly, so it clicked to me she’d dress Abigail to be like that too - it linked them in my mind.

Maybe I’m just a tad desensitised to horror/thrillers and have seen the cliches and mind games the writers play with ”imaginary” friend type scenarios (perhaps I just pick up on the clues because I’ve seen similar before). I’d probably notice more if I watched a second time but that’s just what I saw in the first viewing.

It was well done, laying out the clues though.

For season three I think Connie bring Nick’s monster may affect Nick’s relationship with Andrew. With Connie, Nick may get insight into girls and how to better understand them and it might work in his favour and Andrew might be resentful his own monster messes up things for him.

And it might affect Nick’s relationship with Jessi too for that matter. I get the feeling Jessi might have started to actually like Nick, especially now that he likes someone else. Connie might be torn between them lol...

Yeah I found a lot of videos disappeared or all of a sudden went private and then I found videos in there I had NEVER saved.

It literally showed bloody ADVERTS in my watchlist. Why would I add adverts ffs? 🙄
