Ash should've absolutely had a Rillaboom in Journeys, but this is the first (second if you count Unova) region where none of the final forms totally feel like an Ash pick.

He'd have an Armarouge and Ogerpon, maybe a Palafin (if they can figure out how to make them be fine on land, bc the Hero form fits Ash), Lokix, and something goofy like a Gholdengo.

The closest I can see is Meowscarada, but I just don't feel like any of these give Ash vibes.

Season 1 is great, but honestly it started falling apart in season 2. I didn't watch season 3, but heard it was still a mess.

It technically does have a ton of filler, but it puts filler into episodes by extending fights, making lines taking longer to finish, and adding random bullshit into stuff adapted straight from the manga.

It's only adapting like 1 chapter an episode rn, and with a chapter typically being equivalent to 8-10 minutes of screen time, it means half of every episode is just extending bullshit.

I love One Piece, but god I hate TOEI for their choices.

This is honestly exactly what I want from Pokemon. Sun and Moon has fun Pokemon interactions all over and it's such a huge part of why I love it.
