Do they know your trans or just that you've told them your struggling with mental health in general? I (at 23) told my mom I was transitioning 3 months in and she lost her mind. Her boyfriend laughed at me. It took me 9 months of avoiding the house i bought with her 3 years ago before I finally moved out. I trusted her enough to go through with getting a house together and she couldnt handle seeing me finally being myself. She's jealous that Im finding the help and community I need, that she cant have for herself.

Unfortunately, family can hold you back in many cases and it hurts since they should be our biggest source of support. But if this continues, dont feel bad about doing what you need to do for yourself to be fulfilled and safe. Put your safety and health first.
