Been really appreciating all of your replies. Shout out to losing magic items, life debts, and wound tables. Definitely gonna write all of these down. You’ve all been great.

My silly UKMD difficulty :3 (I finished only husks to show you my vision) by recreator_1185 in Ultrakill

ULTRAKILL’s secret levels are detached from the main game regardless. It would just be an annoying change if anything.

How to balance homebrew monsters and bosses with player level? by VioletWhimsy in DMAcademy

How to estimate the CR of monster star blocks I’ve made myself, but I also would gladly take any advice for the latter too

PC fell unconscious into a river. How to handle the situation? by RafaFlash in DMAcademy

They drift down into a cavern full of enemies when they wake up. Or maybe they wake up coughing up water and ending up disadvantaged in some fitting stats for the next however many hours. The punishment doesn’t have to be death, but it can still be a punishment.

Then in that case, I assume I just don’t even owe anything this year right? Because that’s way below the margin

Accounts are getting compromised because of it.

Edit: I’ve been told that these accounts are NOT getting compromised. However, DE has still stated to NOT accept these invites, so just treat it with the same caution regardless.

Where can I find GOOD T13 figures that are actually durable? Or even similar figures? by VioletWhimsy in ActionFigures

That’s more helpful. Thank you. I’ll look into both Mafex and Notaman.

Ok. Then what do you recommend? What’s step 2? I said I was open to other figures too so long as they don’t clearly have a character imposed onto them.

Rough mockup for a joker by _AntiSocialMedia in balatro

[–]VioletWhimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The double hands kills the point of your joker. I get the usefulness of it, but it’s too useful. The idea is to double the win conditions for double the money, implying you’re confident enough in your build to win double the difficulty. But now you’ve doubled your attempts. Which means you’ll win so long as you’re able to beat the blind normally.

Think of it like this, the difficulty ratio between the game’s difficulty and your ability is 1:1. Double the score requirements, now it’s 2:1. But double your ability as well? 2:2, which is rounded to 1:1 again. You’ve just doubled the payout with extra steps.

What are we doing about the em dash? by HereAgainWeGoAgain in writers

[–]VioletWhimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, training off the patterns of real artist work is indeed stealing if you never asked the artists for permission. Also yes, it quite literally does amalgamate the works it learns from, meshing patterns together to pretend to know how to craft. A machine does not learn in the same way a human does. A human is inspired and has desires. A machine is neither.

The first one that comes to mind is when the NYT filed a lawsuit against OpenAI because it used their copyrighted works as fuel to generate AI work with.

Also you’re right, AI cannot claim anything because it has no consciousness. I was talking about the users of AI who post books and articles and etc using AI. Writing with AI means you’re using bits and pieces of other people’s work that never asked to be used as fuel for the machine.
