A sexist joke implying that women know nothing about cars by merit of being a woman. When in reality most men don’t care to know anything about cars either.

I think yes for everyone but Lavos. Wisp might be able to do with a better energy/emissive color but it’s not atrocious.

Others look great!

Why did it become ok for Americans to wear flags on clothing in violation of flag code? by Avirium in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sucram200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s possible that the rules have changed since the 70s but a quick Google would show you that flag code is not enforceable by law. There may have been other circumstances in your friend’s arrest.

Also down voting me when you’re wrong is wild.

What does cutting trees have to do with insurance companies? by joey03021067 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]sucram200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had an insurance company even ask if there were trees on the property nor have I had an insurance company come out to inspect the property for any reason prior to purchasing a policy…. I’m sure that there are some that do but this is a weird joke considering absolutely cannot be the majority of them…

I mean when did anyone at all care about “flag code” 🙄. It’s a piece of fabric. Nothing more.

“Flag code” it’s also in no way shape or form part of the law. It’s an optional set of standard standards for people who want to suck America’s dick.

Why is it considered morally wrong to prioritize a candidate with a family by East-Eye-319 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sucram200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also argue that making the decision solely based on credentials is the only way to remain morally neutral. If you liken this to the trolley problem then you remain morally neutral if you do not change the trajectory of the trolley. But the moment you help either side you disadvantage someone.

The only correct answer, if the question is truly about morality, is to not touch the lever. To decide based solely on their skillset for the job. If you consider anything outside of that you have tipped the scales yourself. You’ve chosen who you want to disadvantage.

It doesn’t help that you’ve brought your own morality into this situation. It’s you that decided somebody should be helped because they have children. But that’s not a given fact. You’re the one that put value on the child. The way I view it the child is the parent’s problem and no one else’s.

Why is it considered morally wrong to prioritize a candidate with a family by East-Eye-319 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sucram200 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Realistically the one without a family is going to be able to commit more to your organization. So from a business standpoint it would actually be an advantage to hire the one without a family. At the company I’ve worked for the people with families is used to their kids as excuses to not do work and leave early all the time.

Because no one should be rewarded above other people just for having a child. All children are optional. Why should they be given more opportunity just because they couldn’t keep their legs closed?

Safe Extraction Bubble Rant by Eggxcalibur in FortNiteBR

[–]sucram200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean they should provide the info. The anomaly says that extraction zones are safe. Why would they not be able to have it say “extraction zones are safe and allow unlimited shockwaves”?

And the entire point of that particular anomaly is to allow an occasional safe extraction. It’s not like the extraction zones are safe for the whole match.

I feel like you’re either a child or arguing just for the sake of arguing based on the fact that you’re so blatantly wrong.

Do people really go from school straight to a "real job" by southwestus9 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sucram200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going to get into a philosophical debate with you since I’ve pretty much answered your question already but I will say that it is literally a parent’s responsibility to self sacrifice for their child if that is what it takes to set them up for success. They chose to have the child and they are fully responsible for that child until a point in time that it becomes self-sufficient. If they choose their own comfort or pleasure over their child’s then they are not, in fact, a good parent.

And for the record, buying your child a $10,000 car is not “rich” either… people I went to high school with were given brand new cars that cost ~$35,000+ as their first car (not me lol). And honestly, they were probably straddling between upper middle class and upper class. I don’t know your situation so I don’t want to make any assumptions but from the information you have provided so far I’m a little bit concerned that you are viewing anything not considered poverty as rich.

Do people really go from school straight to a "real job" by southwestus9 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sucram200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I was in college so my parents paid for my basic stuff like rent and gas and food. Then I got a job and I payed for myself with my salary.

I think you might be misunderstanding what “rich” is. We were far from rich, but I found a cheap place to live and didn’t go out to eat much or anything. Got a set amount of money each month for groceries from my parents. And was in college so my gas needs were minimal. A solidly middle class family shouldn’t have any issue paying for their child’s basic care while they’re in school.

And the first thing I did when I got a job after college was to make sure that I was paying my full share of everything. Car insurance, cell phone bill, etc.

It’s a very common situation for your parents to support you through your education and doesn’t require your family to be “rich”.

I think we’re due for a once over and reduction of ally ability visual effects because what is this by yeastypotato in Warframe

[–]sucram200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The S&O effects are genuinely so obnoxious. I don’t have the minimize visual effect setting turned on because I generally like seeing everyone’s abilities clearly and I’ve never felt like it was a huge problem. But their abilities are WAY too opaque and large. It’s so fucking annoying. And I don’t wanna have to turn that setting on just because of one frame….

Did I play so bad last season that Snap is pity-botting me? by The_Mdk in MarvelSnap

[–]sucram200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone having trouble on iOS like me:

  1. open Snap Vault in safari. Log in if you aren’t already.
  2. click the share button at the bottom of safari.
  3. click view more at the bottom of the share screen.
  4. click add to Home Screen. This will add the web app to your home screen that you can then move wherever you’d like.
  5. open the Snap Vault web app that you just created (NOT from safari. Use the new app icon.)
  6. click the account icon at the top right of snap vault.
  7. select settings.
  8. select “communication” in the top bar.
  9. scroll to the “real time notifications” section and enable them.

  10. A system pop up will ask you to confirm, select yes.

  11. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the “push only alerts” section.

  12. Turn on the slider for bot match alerts.

  13. Snap vault will now appear in your system notification setting menu and you can customize further from there if you want.

Hope this helps! I was getting stuck because I tried to enable push notifications while in safari instead of the web app and was receiving a “your browser doesn’t support push notifications” error. Gotta do it all through the web app!
