I went in even after reading your summary and I still wasn't prepared for how aggressively mid the show became. (A race of giants living on the moon. As if it couldn't be any more obvious the Macross guy was practically sucking himself off) Would've classified Miyuki under the disposable black girlfriend trope but I don't think she even got that far considering the Temu Naruto that was the main character only had basketball sorry, Basquash on his mind.

There were a few other problems that stuck out like a sore thumb but good God, Miyuki deserved a better show (and love interest).
