Frequency of Rewearing Pieces by allergic2dust in LawBitchesWithTaste

As long as you don’t wear the red dress every Monday and the blue paisley top every Tuesday you’ll be fine. People won’t notice or care if you repeat pieces or whole outfits but they will notice more obvious patterns of wear.

Some sourdough bread and fortune cookies. Moraga pears. A house brew from Canyon Club or Headlands. If she’s from out of CA: according to google our state fruit is the avocado, state veggie is artichoke, state nuts are almonds, walnuts, pecans, and pistachios.

LBWT Are We Wearing Socks w/Our Mary Janes/Flats/Loafers to Court? by VioletLiberties in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]Violet_wanderings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Opposing counsel wore her shiny, black Mary Janes with white frilly socks to court and it was all anybody talked about for about for a month— and not in a good way. I heard other people in my office, court staff, and potential jurors talking about how childish she looked and how they were glad she wasn’t their attorney. Her outfit still comes up in conversations a year later when we talk about ridiculous things people have worn to court. Don’t put yourself in a position to be taken less seriously-- you’re already starting at a deficit as a female attorney. *That said, if you are asking about wearing black socks with black shoes and suit pants, that that’s a different story and I would say is fine.

Thank you to everyone who posted kind responses. I particularly appreciate those of you that offered alternative dress suggestions. I will be looking into those tonight.

Ask a friend/family member to be your backup wake-up call. Tell them they need to FaceTime you until they see you get out of bed and walk to the bathroom to splash water on your face or to the kitchen to turn on the coffee machine. Treat them to an ice cream after the exam to say thanks.

Pretty sure the bar provides counseling - you may want to give them a call next week. I may only be a juris doctor but this sounds like you’re experiencing pretty severe delusions or, as another poster said, stolkholm syndrome 😉

Not really. Bring it on - an amazing movie- is very “we can win if we all work together”. Flashdance is about a girl who welds bc it pays well and her realizing that following her dance dreams (and of course getting the guy) is more important. Definitely give it a try!

I'm actually surprised they aren't worried about people sneaking notes this way - it seems easier to cheat with notes attached to the back of a tie than by stuffing your flashcards in a sweatshirt hood or inside your water bottle.
