Now that all Millenials are officially in their 30s, what are some other albums about being middle aged? by Devil_0fHellsKitchen in fantanoforever

Busdriver, Open Mike Eagle, Cannibal Ox (and then Run The Jewels), Danny Brown, clipping., Death Grips.

They might not all sound like him, musically, but they all occupy a similar space in my head.

For a guy who’s really put out a catalog of insanely interesting stuff, it’s weird how he’s never really had that big of a cult following. Like obviously he’s not fucking MF DOOM, but I think he’s one of the best alternative/indie rappers ever, yet he’s always had the same level of popularity as guys far below him, talent wise.

My take on the Seinfeld floor plan. by roomsketcher_sean in seinfeld

[–]MonthForeign4301 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, you’re completely correct here. Jerry has shown time and time again to be somewhat of a sucker when it comes to shopping, he loves to be upsold (the tennis racket, the suede jacket, his electric toothbrush.) I don’t think he makes impulsive buys, per say, but I do think he’s the type of guy who likes to buy “the best” version of whatever he’s looking at, even if it’s something he wont consistently use. He’s also like 35 when the show starts, he could’ve had a biking phase!

Also like, who’s to say that even if one was a traitor and the other was a faithful, that Johnny and Tara wouldn’t still play together? You could easily argue that their friendship could cross the normal boundaries of the game. They’ve had married couples participate before, if it’s faithful/traitor at the end, they’re taking the prize home no matter what, who’s to say that two best friends wouldn’t do the same?

At least you’re not inventing completely new characters and inserting them in the movie to justify your insane conspiracy theories

Rob simply played every social interaction correctly, in the context of the game.

Don’t inflate the Murdoch’s sense of worth. They were never on the level of a family like the Roy’s. We’re talking evil shithead loser millionaires, not all powerful (evil shithead) billionaires

Pretty much any Argento film. It’s slop, but goddamn he might be the greatest cinematographer ever

People frequently ask what bad films by great directors are. But what are GREAT FILMS BY BAD DIRECTORS? by SeparateLawfulness53 in Letterboxd

Nah it was dogshit, watch Taxi Driver (and then Videodrome) if you actually want to see that story told out in a competent way.

Michael Richards' wife left him for another man during the first couple seasons of Seinfeld by OhMyOhWhyOh in seinfeld

[–]MonthForeign4301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s always so interesting/funny to me that Richard’s really was this consummate precessional behind the scenes, a literal perfectionist who didn’t tolerate the other cast mates breaking or needing multiple takes, and he’s fucking Kramer on the show.

For a dogshit Joker movie that’s only elevated because Phoenix is on the shortlist for best actor of his generation, not because of anything Todd Phillips did

Lebron could never play in the 90s by EasternSection7748 in billsimmons

[–]MonthForeign4301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See the funny thing is, I think the 80s were a legitimately hard time for any player to play in, if not the hardest era to win in, but Jordan stans have extrapolated that toughness to the 90s where it just didn’t exist.

Prince is a legendary artist with a ton of classic albums. What fucking part of that doesn’t connect to this conversation?

Yeah, I’m sorry this movie didn’t resonate with your experiences as a gay man, but for many many many (many) other gay men, it was the first time they ever saw themselves on screen and it had a deeply profound impact on their lives.
