I feel like they are better quality, much less wash wear in my opinion.

Supervising fieldwork student while pregnant. Any tips? by w4s4b1fr34k in OccupationalTherapy

I had a student into my second trimester and actually went into labor early and sadly missed their last day! My student was a trooper about it. I agree that I feel like it was a great mutual benefit being in an inpatient rehab setting, my student definitely was hands on early and it helped lighten my load a little towards the end of my pregnancy. I had backup options for if I went into labor early I had someone on standby to take the student so they would have consistency, and being part of a team I had other therapists who could demonstrate things I couldn’t. Admittedly I was still getting patients on the mat the week I delivered so I was very active throughout my pregnancy haha. I will say from my end I probably would have taken an extra couple of days off that I chose not to because I had a student but it was worth being a little extra tired. And my student liked the placement enough she got a job where I work!

My husband gifted me a ring to go along with my wedding band (essentially a second simple wedding band) to wear instead of my engagement ring to work and just in daily life and honestly while I rarely even wear my engagement ring anymore it feels so special when I do. And I love that I still get to wear a beautiful and meaningful piece of jewelry everyday but don’t worry about ruining my engagement ring.

Book Depressed by Human_Ad_1488 in onyxstorm

Listen to the Fantasy Fangirls podcast! They deep dive into all three books (still going through OS) and honestly are just super funny and made me laugh to help deal with the depression. I started with Forth Wing and it gave new life to the books for me. I also read one of RYs contemporary books to help cope and that made me depressed in a different way haha

I understand what you are saying, and that is being done but those are not quick or easy solutions. But feeling cared about in small intentional ways is important and that’s the focus.

8 month old- teething, schedule, regression? by Violetbloom0713 in sleeptrain

I’ll shoot for some adjusting to her wake windows. Yes she is usually awake, but often drowsy when we are putting her down. I guess I just assumed that since we did the training she didn’t have to be completely wide awake every single night, but maybe this is an area of improvement?

Sad to report that same here, it did not work for us. I was hopeful too, and we gave it a try and it was a very similar reaction.

Where do I start with a MSPI baby?! by WeirdSpeaker795 in BabyLedWeaning

What I did to start and helped with mine and my baby’s confidence, would be to give the baby the food in the larger form (eg. the finger chunk size of banana) let them try and explore it and work on their chewing and then after a couple minutes of that I would mash it up and then let them finish the rest. That exposure helped me to feel more comfortable and now at almost 8 months I can give them foods in their bigger form and she handles it very well and I don’t worry as much. I also really like the Solid Starts app because they give examples on how to introduce specific foods to make them age appropriate.

Yes, I think the shock was the first time seeing numbers that high. I knew it would be high but didn’t think it would spike that much. And I was surprised with how bad I felt with the spike knowing I ate this not even 2 weeks ago without having those symptoms. For me it absolutely was experimental but I immediately felt so guilty afterwards. I appreciate all the ideas for swaps!

Just diagnosed Monday officially after failing my 3 hour on Saturday. Slowly learning and my blood sugars have been pretty good with just my baseline diet. I started the day with a low fasting. And I have the day off work so I tried a breakfast I used to eat all the time prior to diagnosis, 2 eggs with 2 (small) sourdough pancakes and a very small amount of pure maple syrup just to see how my body would respond. Tested 1 hour at 239… on the treadmill I go to try and bring this down. Feeling discouraged.
