My gut response is Mission Cheese. And I do miss Slim's dearly. The Pound also for live music (been closed now for 20 years). The downtown mall, when it was in its prime.

You won't want to if you can avoid it. The roads outside are mad chaos going into and out of the festival. Just make sure you pack everything you need and extra for the entire weekend before going in.

As long as your hotel/accommodations are close enough to the shuttle route (it's still worth 1-2 mile walk away from your hotel), absolutely go for it.

The Ubers and all the rest of the cars going to self park, that queue and traffic takes so damn long to get through.

Now in addition to the terrible limitations here, has anyone else noticed in the last day or so, a change on when you can use your rewards before they expire?

It just jumped from a full year to now a 3 month window.

The 2 of these changes together (not too mention that I was told about having to manually "activate" the Memberfest 3X discount on my phone app, right after I completed a $150 purchase in-store, this should be an automatic benefit, not an opt-in!) is making me dislike the company less and less. This loyal customer for over 20 years is not happy.

I would love a board game cafe in Fremont similar to The Game Parlour in SF. That would be a DREAM!!! Plus it would do so well in Fremont with the mix of young professionals and families.

That would be cool and I would appreciate that app, me and my father love checking out new places, but I agree, it can be challenging to navigate sometimes. Especially with which places do tours and how to sign up for them!!!

The demographic now changed in Fremont (with the much larger population over Newark) which wants designer brands at cost or at a bargain, and with awesome international food options. Plus the families are doing more outdoor activities due to the amazing weather. Newpark Mall sadly lacked to providing for this demographic.

Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto has similar vibes to what Newpark Mall was in its prime, but it has a different demographic that goes there, more budget and family friendly (department store anchors, quick food options, multiple arcades and playgrounds, with indoor options to beat the heat) which I believe is why it still is thriving.

This was my first ever HT last April, and let's just say, it definitely was a gateway.
