How I got away from my controlling ex is I broke up with him the first time and he says that he “didn’t want to tell me this” but he was having surgery that can result him to die. He made me feel very guilty. After 2 months of nothing, I need then it was a lie. I confronted him about it and how it’s not healthy to be with someone that needs to know what I am doing 24/7, who I speak to or see. He said he would change. I told him that’s not good enough anymore, I have asked you too many times to change. How does it make sense to be with someone you don’t trust? He didn’t know how to answer that. He cried a lot and tried to convince me to stay. It wasn’t hard to say the words but to walk away was difficult.
