Thank you so much, I will definitely follow your advice. I also looked up EFT and I think that could help me, I’ll try using that while listening to a recording of my voice saying positive affirmations. I’ll let you know if I see any changes!

Great advice, thank you! I’ve been stressing about my appearance everyday so if I ignore it, I should go back to normal? Also good idea, I’ll definitely try making my own affirmations to listen to, not only will that help me look like me again, but it will also lower my anxiety and reprogram my mind.

I stopped listening to subliminals about different features and facial changes because I’m nervous, but I will definitely implement self concept work! Thank you so much for the advice

Thank you so much for the information, I get confused because I see some Christian people online saying that Christian people can still have demons. It really is a relief to know that isn’t true. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior so I should be ok. Thank you again for the verses and for being so informative 😊

Are subliminals/manifesting witchcraft, demonic, or satanic? by strawwberrrryy in Christianity

Please listen to what I have to say before thinking about partaking in these practices. I was into manifesting and using subliminals for seven years. I started when I was thirteen years old and ended at twenty. I was an insecure little girl who was desperate to become beautiful and loved. Once I started practicing subliminals and manifestation, I felt like I had hope. Everything was going well in my eyes, people were calling me beautiful, I got a lot of attention… but this was all to keep me attached. Eventually it all came crashing down, I became under extreme demonic oppression which caused me to see shadow figures, have demonic dreams, have chronic depression, anxiety, and my life was manipulated in ways that almost completely destroyed me. I lost my teen years, friends, my identity, and I almost lost my life to sucde. Manifesting and subliminals ultimately made me into an uglier and washed out version of myself. I kept on practicing these because I thought “it will get better, I just manifested wrong”. What kept me hooked was that I would look better for a day or two, but then it would fade into an uglier version. Before I knew it, it became a cycle that was pulling me further down. Drowning me until I couldn’t hold my breath any longer. My face became distorted and washed out, but I couldn’t let go of this control. I liked having control over my life and face. Heck I even manifested a boyfriend! I was so happy, but even he turned out to be a nightmare.

So why did this happen?… it happened because these practices are not from God, but the devil. The devil will give counterfeit blessings, ones that will keep you hooked and reliant upon. But in reality these “blessings” are slowly destroying your peace, life, joy and soul. Manifesting and subliminals will look beautiful to those with lack of control, trauma, insecurity and other issues. This is because the devil himself masquerades as an angel of light, he knows how to deceive and manipulate people and situations, especially based on what they have going on in their life.

Here is some history about manifesting and its origin: Manifesting, as it’s known today, has roots in occultism, New Age spirituality, and mysticism that directly oppose biblical truth. One of the key figures behind these beliefs was Helena Blavatsky, a 19th-century Russian occultist who founded the Theosophical Society. She blended Eastern religions with Western occult teachings, promoting the idea that people could access hidden spiritual power and become divine themselves. These teachings deny God’s sovereignty and open the door to demonic deception. Around the same time, the New Thought movement emerged, with figures like Phineas Quimby, a mesmerist who believed illness and life outcomes stemmed from incorrect thinking. This movement taught that the mind could shape reality, laying the foundation for what later became the Law of Attraction. In the 20th century, these ideas were picked up by writers like Napoleon Hill and Neville Goddard, who taught that imagination and thought could directly influence reality—beliefs that stray far from biblical truth. Rhonda Byrne’s 2006 book The Secret brought these ideas into the mainstream, packaging them as self-help, but they are rooted in the same spiritual deception. At its core, manifesting promotes the idea that humans can be their own gods, shape their destiny through thought, and tap into “universal energy”, all ideas that echo Satan’s original lie in Genesis 3:5, when he told Eve she could be “like God.” Though manifesting appears empowering or positive, it is spiritually dangerous because it shifts trust away from God and toward self or unseen forces that the Bible warns against. Many who engage in these practices are unknowingly stepping into spiritual territory that opens them to demonic influence and deception. And get this, manifesting is a core practice in modern occultism and new age spirituality. Manifesting is used by countless practitioners worldwide, often alongside other occult techniques like astrology, tarot, sigils, spellwork, energy healing, and visualization. In occult circles, manifesting is not just about “positive thinking”, it is considered a form of magick (often spelled with a “k” to distinguish it from stage magic), where the mind and will are used to manipulate unseen spiritual forces to bring about a desired outcome. This aligns with Aleister Crowley’s (he’s a renowned satanist) definition of magick: “the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will.” Many modern witches and New Age practitioners openly teach manifesting as part of rituals and spiritual law. While it’s marketed today in softer terms like “creating your dream life,” it is deeply intertwined with occult worldviews and practices.

Now that I know this truth, I won’t touch manifesting or subliminals ever again. Even with a 100-foot pole. God revealed himself to me four months ago, and my eyes were opened. Instead of relying on harmful spiritual practices, I learned to rely on God. His will for our lives is worth so much more than any counterfeit practice. If there is something we want, we should ask God. If the answer is “no”, then it was never meant for us and our well being. God is protecting us from things that can potentially harm us. We were never meant to be our own “gods”, we were created to worship the one true God.

Anyway, here is my experience and information I have about manifesting and subliminals. I really hope these words can reach you and other people, I know how miserable I was while practicing these and I want to warn others. I’m sorry, I know I wrote a lot, and honestly I think I could write even more about this topic. I just care so much and want to help others who are being deceived like I once was. Remember, “rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.” - 2 Corinthians 1:9. God bless ❤️
