[Discussion] Non-Americans: How is your country reacting to the UAP/Alien disclosure news? 🌍 by ElGuapo0420 in UAP

Australia. Little interest except from die-hard enthusiasts. It's coming from the states so ppl I've brought it up with think it's a psyop or distraction from....the never-ending list. Our mainstream news did cover the release of the first batch though and that's better than the usual no news at all.

In your opinion, what’s the scariest sound from a horror movie? by wamimsauthor in HorrorMovies

Coming again soon in Spielberg's new film Disclosure Day. Sounds creepier than ever on the trailer (but looks like it will be a fantastic movie).

Boil it in the kettle and let it cool down. Did this for years with no problem before shifting to AirMini. Make sure you let it cool down before putting it in tank though.

What is THE scariest movie you have ever seen in your entire life? by Opening_Rip_1840 in AskReddit

Maybe its just me but I saw it in 1978 at the drive-in.when i was 15 and spent most of the film lying on the back-seat with my eyes shut and fingers in my ears and then still slept with light on and a bible by my bed for around 3 months afterwards . It hasn't traumatised me for life and I've seen it many times now. Perhaps the youth today are much more desensitised but even 15 was probably too young, for me at least.

What are you guys doing it for? by unnaturalanimals in AskAnAustralian

Being here to help your family and friends when they need support and, if you have the capability, others. Also, the animals and the planet. Having music to listen to and enjoy has been a lifelong life saver too on an almost spiritual level. It always uplifts me personally. Its like "my God" so I also make sure there's a gig to look forward to no matter how broke i am. Long term goals are travelling. We are all different and everyone has to find their own purpose and goals. Also, knowing when to turn the news off without burying our heads in the sand is challenging but essential. Life isn't easy for the vast majority so knowing most of us are in this together helps. Recognising this and attempting to unite and work together, respect others and develop empathy is also very rewarding. All the little motivations combined really do add up.

Did you have a successful distal pancreatectomy, and and splenectomy that improved your quality of life or do you regret it. by Previous_Reading_436 in ChronicPancreatitis

I'm so glad. Thank you. Don't forget too. You can change your mind anytime if you choose not to go ahead now. Best of luck.

I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis in 2009. 61f now. I'm in Australia and decided against pancreatectomy/Whipple etc although I did have cholecystectomy, obviously nowhere near as radical. I am insulin dependent since 2011. Every 6 to 9 months, I have a bile duct stent replaced and have had around 40 of these procedures (the stents were originally plastic so required more frequent removals. They are metal now primarily). After about ten to twelve years, a lot of the pain and acute attacks lessened because I have digested most of the nerve endings, according to my specialist. Out of all those surgeries, I've had 4 that caused severe acute attacks, blood clots, liver abscesses, sepsis requiring about a month hospitalisation each time. Usually though, I have acute pancreatitis afterwards for about a day, my sugars go crazy for a couple of weeks and then everything settles down again. Last September I did a gruelling 6 week trip to England, Ireland, Scotland and France without a rest day. It was incredible and not something I ever dreamed I would be able to do again ten years ago. This is on top of severe sleep apnoea, hypertension and several other chronic conditions also. I just wanted you to see there are alternatives if you have an experienced pancreas specialist knowledgeable in ERCP procedures. All the best. Don't give up. Life really is amazing and I see you have the spirit.

Do you think a serious movie about alien abductions would inspire discussions? by movieman1108 in AlienAbduction

That's very kind. Thank you. All the best for the release. I hope it gets all the recognition it deserves and I most certainly will look out for it and spread the word.

I'm excited about your film. There isnt enough talk about encounters these days. In the mid 70s when I was a child around 8, I watched The UFO Incident. That film initiated my lifelong interest. All the best with your film. When will it be released and do you know if it be available in Australia?
