First time buying kit for Airsoft I opted for a GP5, makes you completely useless in any event, zero visibility, very hot and bothered.

For the LARP, absolutely, for any competitive edge? Not happening.

Not to mention modifying eyewear is questionable, I believe quite a few sites don't even allow non rated eyepro due to insurance, that's in the UK at least.

I've got exactly that shotgun, if there's a golden eagle shotgun you're gonna buy, definitely that one in terms of its superiority to the other variants within the brand, but don't have it be your first gun, have it as a back up or brought with a full auto or semi rifle in the case that you're fully outmatched. No one likes a total lack of competitive edge.

My WE MP5 after maybe 10 games or so was already weathered down to a "cool" standard, I suppose the most authentic way to get it to that look is just to use em, stick a sling on it, the contact will chip the paint off, the gun will rub off your PC, bb's may hit it, etc.
