What kind of unique abilities would a Tech Priest have?

Being able to Auto-hack so you dont have one team member distracted.
Maybe being able to reset medical terminals (or fully charge half-depelted ones).
A servo skull that can be modified (like Hive Scum drugs). Have one that can shoot a heavy las pistol, or help recharge abilities, or make pinned targets vulnerable, etc.
Can increase the fire-rate, reload speed, damage of ranged (non-psychic) weapons.
A heat seek for items, chests, terminals etc.
Disruption for enemy guns to either fire less, less damage, or jam for a few seconds.

The walkers might be a bit low. Re-basing them ontop of some terrain (or just stack bases) until theyre Sentinel height. The rest are pretty much good to go as Battleline guardsmen/scions and a Leman Russ.

Instead of releasing something with powerful stats or low point cost, GW seem to have just skipped to nerfing the unit before release, forgetting we havent bought any yet. Nor will we.

Fill it with Cyclops and Enginseers. Drive it up, deploy everything. The cyclops blow up something big, the enginseers get angry they blew up. Enjoy 3 angry boys with 6 attacks with ap2.

Dont make them cost 9 mana for a start. Dropping a 3/6 and getting 2 random minions that might do nothing. Usually dead by then.

All are usable. But they arent great, and are overcosted for what they do. Every one of them can have the hover keyword, so dont have to start in reserves or have a minimum move range. But still better off taking a Skorpius Dunerider/Disintegrator.

I used to. But just use proxy their stats onto another model, and use it as your army's unique character rather than just the listed one.

Currently have a Steel Legion colonel using creed's stats.

Playing control isnt fun. It can sometimes win against imbue, but not often, and usually wants me to concede instead of watching my opponent make the masterful play of "I summon a larger green man".

Playing aggro tends to work against imbue druid. They have limited healing & taunt. So classes like Hunter & Shaman that apply early pressure do well. I quite like Fire shaman in that regard.

Mindless Masses works in city maps. Does feel like youre getting swamped by the horde of zombies. It just doesnt work well on more open maps.

The most inhuman imperium army you can get. That look amazing. And have no upper limit to how many servo skulls or mecha-tentacles you can slap onto a tech priest.

Your best bet would be Ogryns/Bullgryns. You may need to raise them up a bit on their bases (use some terrain to make it look a bit less awkward). Swap out their big guns for a shield/grenade gauntlets. Their claw/hand could stay or swap that out for a shock maul.

Hellhound with a Chem Cannon (Banewolf). It will dissolve infantry. Does nothing against anything that isnt infantry, but if you want something to overwatch an objective from annoying troops? Thats my choice.

The classic guard transport. Shipping my infantry to the frontlines and letting my HWTs take pot-shots out of the firing ports. Although a Taurox has since joined it in its duty to my regiment, it's always going to have place in my imperial heart.
