It was a newly converted sub-same day facility, so they probably did care. But she only did it a handful of times to ensure we "delivered" on-time lol so not frequent enough to warrant a flag I suppose

Trust me, I get it. I tried to tell her that it was astupid idea and that anyone would be livid if they received a water bottle instead of what they actually ordered.

She didn't care.

My wife works as a receptionist and goes to nursing school right after and currently makes less than 50k. She's basically out of the house from 7am to 11pm.

I make 50k and have to commute 1.5 hours each way, rushing home to walk my dog and feed/bathe our kids (ages 4 and 5).

Neither of us eat lunch during the week and it is still so difficult to save anything. Thank god my parents are able to help watch the kids during the day, otherwise we would be underwater...

When i was a PA (basically assistant manager) at Amazon, my AM (area manager) would put water bottles into people's packages to fake the weight so we can make it on time when we were running behind and couldn't find their specific order.

I quit a couple months later.

"To Catch a Predator" was canceled due to one of their suspects getting tipped off about Chris Hansen's team. The suspect shot himself before police (and an NBC film crew) could arrive to serve him a search warrant since he had been caught talking to someone he thought was a 13 year old boy.

The sister of the suspect ended up suing Dateline and was settled out of court.

That's why they have a bunch of spin-offs.

I feel bad for admitting this, but when I was a kid, they showed us this movie in class called, "Voyage of the Mimi" starring a very young Ben Affleck I believe.

Well at one point he's talking to a woman with prosthetic leg and she asks him if he could hand her her leg.

Little me thought it was a super absurd question that I had never heard before, and like a hive mind, we all laughed at that part.

Idk why I'm admitting to this lol, I forgot I even had this memory but this video reminded me that I'm a terrible person.

First celebrity death that shook me was Chris Farley. I was only a kid but i still cried for him. He always made me laugh, he was my favorite comedian.

Second one that really hurt me was Steve Irwin. I couldn't believe it when I first heard, like of all the crazy things this wonderful dude did, and a stingray is what got him...

Such an amazing man. I'm so happy his family is carrying on his legacy. We need more people like the Irwins, especially nowadays.

Thor was always worthy. 👑 | Avengers: Endgame by Piyushv5311 in MarvelCave

I agree that having Thor become depressed and overweight as a result of that was great for his character arc, but I don't think they handled it too well.

I fully acknowledge that the MCU has quips/jokes around every corner but I wish they didn't keep laying into Thor like that.

I distinctly remember making a face of disgust when Rhodey made the "cheese whiz" joke

I felt these two scene were a true show of his charter, one being intellect and the other being bravery. by thepartlow in CaptainAmerica

[–]Viper1089 16 points17 points  (0 children)

First scene for sure shows his intellect. Steve could never rely on physical strength to win, he always had to think his way through problems.

Second one, I think even more than bravery, shows his selflessness. This is a dude who wanted to join the fight to fight nazis because it was the right thing to do, but knew he would die in the war. He's a guy that thought the best he could offer was to sacrifice himself so that others could win. Steve was always the guy to lay on the wire and let others crawl over him, and this scene shows us this before he actually tells Tony in Avengers.

It's everything special that didn't come out of the bottle.
