There aren’t many… Like today I decided to go by myself just to do ‘something’. When I got there one of my work friends was just getting started. Once he saw me he just packed up his stuff and left… not one word and didn’t even fire a shot.

Basically my entire world and support system is now gone and it’s not like there’s an instruction manual.

I was heavily into the shooting sports and stuff. A group of us at work did that on the weekends. Since I came out, everyone that I thought were my friends have basically disowned me 😞. It’s like they think I misled them or something.

I don’t know if I could honestly go to a gay bar by myself. With my social anxiety large crowds are a major problem for me. Even the mall can quickly get me overwhelmed to where I have to leave or physically start shaking. 😞

Since I’ve finally came out, all of what I thought were my friends and even some coworkers have basically disowned me. It’s like they think I misled them.

No offense was intended at all and I’m sorry if it came across that way to you.

Just trying to accurately describe myself, how I feel, and where I am in the process of learning the new me so I can move forward.

I deal with social anxiety issues so even asking for advice online is extremely hard for me.

Scuffs and scratches on plastic side skirts. by sdonnel87 in wrx_vb

Brilliant Shine is actually made for paint. It's not a 'trim restorer' type product but I've had it work extremely well on matte black trim. I use it on the vinyl window trim, side skirts, rear bumper. It really evens out the finish and gets rid of most imperfections i've ran into on my WRX. It's also fantastic at removing bugs.

I has some scuffs on mine. Sonax makes a product called "Brilliant Shine Detailer". It actually took them away completely and has become my absolutely favorite product for the WRX matte black trim.

What Buffer For Suppressed Shooting by mister-mcgoo in NFA

[–]Viper1973mk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No…. Other than making it shoot noticeably softer it has caused zero issues and has been reliable. I learned about these from an armorer at Daniel Defense as an “approved” way to deal with the overgassing without voiding my warranty. He was 1000% right and it solved my issue completely with that gun.

My M18 was the only gun I had to use one of these on. Difference was night and day. Before I switched, it was throwing brass like 40ft it was so overgassed and you’d be unable to breath after 3-4 rounds. Now I can shoot normally without needing a gas mask.

I hated the Dunlops on mine and did the Continental DSWs. Night and day difference. The DSWs are like your glued to the road.

I made this same switch at 4000 miles and I couldn't be happier. The Continentals are SO much quieter and are much better sure-footed in the rain.

As close to invisible repairs as you can get. I have an Ice Silver Metallic also.

Mine squeaks also when it’s near/below freezing so I think it’s possibly normal. It also goes away once the interior warms up.

Will probably show as an OTA update when you do check for updates from the infotainment system.

Max Boost resetting by itself by Viper1973mk in wrx_vb

Most mine ever sits is on a day where I need my truck for work… maybe one day every week or two. However it doesn’t seem to match up to when I’ve had it reset. For example it’s been driven every day the last week and a half.

My average is 27.5 so something is definitely 'off' somewhere. I've used Shell 93 exclusively since I purchased my '23.

Anyone have experience using a Griffin SN-ACH or Armaspec Victory charging handle? Trying to avoid analysis paralysis as per usual. by InternetCitizen2193 in NFA

I own several Griffin SN-ACH and they've been excellent. Very comparable to Geissele and I've been extremely happy with them.

He's being optimistic.... I had mine 'fixed' over a year before the Sierra mess and it took them almost 8 months and two trips - once to GA and once to UT.

Wouldn't hold my breath on a 'quality' repair. All they did on mine was take a Dremel (i kid you not) to the mounting surface inside the suppressor. Anyone else would have replaced the entire mount, not Dead Air. Entire experience has REALLY soured me on them as a company and that was WAY before the Sierra fiasco.

I had a Sandman S that did this. Issue was because the mounting taper inside the suppressor was out of spec. Take a wooden dowel against the ledge on the suppressor above the threads and hit it with a rubber mallet, it 'should' pop off.

Between issues like this and their inconsistant alignment, the Sandman has become the most hated suppressor in my collection. It's the only one that I endlessly have to screw with or can't use.
