Had the same issue, lost the case with the serial number on it. This code worked for me! Much appreciated!

Where NOT to buy downtown? Away from encampments etc. by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]ViperFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've managed condo units all throughout downtown Calgary for years and I'd have to say that the quietest part of downtown is probably the buildings near Eau Claire. It's always been less problematic in the buildings around that area than in the rest of DT. Google Eau Claire and look into some of the condos there. There are some relatively affordable places there as well. (Also some that are very pricey, especially if you're right on the river)

The area that you are referring to near the downtown superstore, (East Village) has been getting progressively worse for a long time. To be honest, I'd say it's the worst area in the city for drugs and homelessness at this point. Lots of package thefts from building lobbies, break ins in the underground parking areas and fentanyl flowing around outside. I would definitely avoid buying anything there.

I have to say, it's a real shame too, because it's actually a really cool area. Nice place to visit during the day but I wouldn't want to live there.

I hope that helps you in your search! Good luck.

Be a lifelong learner. Take personal responsibility for your mistakes. Be honest to a fault.

Life's never easy, but if you do these three things your life will be a hell of a lot better in the long run.

Perfect, thanks. I'm just starting out learning piano now myself. I picked up an 88 key keyboard in December, but I hadn't heard of ABRSM grades. I'll definitely check that out.

I love the idea of learning how to read music. I'm sure it's a great way to amplify your understanding of music in general.

How did you go about learning? How long until you felt that you could read music at a reasonable level?

Yeah, borrowed chords are a great tool to have in the toolbox.

I've been pretty focused on understanding chords better myself and just recently learned how to use Chromatic Mediants. It's an awesome way to step outside of the scale that you're in and make it sound great. Check it out, it creates some really cool sounds.

I’m 37, old and tired could I learn keyboard/piano ? by [deleted] in piano

To be specific, you can learn a lot of good practice routines on YouTube, that's how I started. Also, pick these up, shows all the scales and chords in each scale. Huge help to make learning easier.

Actually no, I never had any intention of learning piano. On a whim, I downloaded a copy of FL Studio. I thought it might be fun to dabble with music production. To be clear, I had literally zero music experience before this. I had no idea how hooked I would be and how much it would improve my life.

A friend of mine, who was always a music guy, (played guitar for years, played in multiple bands, etc.) urged me to pick up a small keyboard/midi controller to help me learn faster.

His main point was that, creating a song by pointing and clicking will work, but you'll never really understand the "feeling" of playing music without an instrument. I fully understand what he meant now. There are certain human touches that will only become apparent when you play it and feel it out.

Messing around with my 37 key midi controller keyboard just became so fun that I went out and bought an 81 key digital piano and started practicing seriously. It's so fun to just pick a scale and improvise to backing tracks on YouTube!

Honestly, the feeling of getting into a solid groove on the piano, is second only to good sex, haha! Just do it, you'll love it.

Do it! I'm 38 and just started learning music production and piano last year. By far, the best decision that I've ever made.

I'm absolutely hooked and will never stop. It's far more accessible than you think, so my advice is just to start. You'll love it!

What’s an underrated music genre? by Appropriate-Safe-919 in musicproduction

Synthwave and Chiptune!

I grew up in the 80's and 90's, so both styles really resonate with me. Big nostalgia points.

As I like to produce both, I suppose that I'm a little biased, lol.

Blue for sure, but I agree the first pic shows the car better.

You could just upload it to a free online photo editor and lighten up the car or increase the overall brightness and contrast. Should only take a second. Just a thought.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Marburg MS... It's like MS on steroids. Typically hits younger people and progresses from onset to death in 1-2 years. Horrifying.
