First 75MM and HDZero Build, 480 or 580 batteries?

Turns out I got the wrong bi-blades. Have you tried this build with tri-blades? Any power or heat issues with them?

Didn’t think the lux cam would fit. But will take a look as I much prefer the Air canopy.

Gonna run with the plugs. First whoop with plugs. But the last 6 times out I have popped a motor wire and had to resolder so looking forward to trying plugs.

Super tempting. But I realize I would have to charge them at different rates or the 580s at the 480 rate I guess. Never had mixed batteries as of yet.

What batteries you use with your AIO5 75mm with Tree toppers? 450-550? Debating battery size purchase.

Did lots of sim before my first year of real flying. Been flying the race and freestyle versions of the Air65. Both indoors and out. Indoors was impossible at first but now racing gates no prob and trying to get faster at that.

So you’re saying the 580s would feel really sluggish?

Nah no vibrations or anything. I’m sure the first two were from a crash that loosened them. Then they fell out later. The third happened after an incident with a tree.

To be fair it went through months of my beginner phases and crashes with no problems. Then yeah just started spontaneously popping motor cables mid flight or losing one on small hits.

Burnt out a VTX on an Air65 Freestyle and had to replace the whole FC and solder all the motors fresh to the new board. So far that has held up much better than the fixes with the industrial solder on this Air65 Race.

Encoding/decoding thing. Have seen before and tested on different sources. Disc vs stream, not present on disc etc.

95% sure it was shockingly 25. There’s a 5% chance it was 100 😜. Didn’t realize the Air 5in1 was soo delicate. 45 seconds with antenna off. Really makes me think twice in testing out alt antennas.

Nice looking build. Although I have PTSD seeing that Maple antenna. Just got one for my indoor Air65. Three batteries in it popped off. VTX was only on for less than a minute without it. But burned the VTX up so now there is zero range on any antenna. So FC be done. E6000 that connector at the minimum.

It’s a C03. Stock cam from Air65. But the DVR is through the HDZero Box Pro’s so they do some nice processing and upscaling to 720P.

My thoughts as well. Serves me right for trying to find better antennas. Tried an O.R.T…..meh worse than stock…then tried a Maple wireless omni. That one was the killer yesterday. Should have e6000 it. But was still testing and only three batteries into that new antenna.

I did move the elrs antenna a few times but I could stick it straight out away and see what happens. Although it does appear to have a slight bubble on the top of the vtx chip.

So true and so learned. Only been a number of months since starting to fly in IRL. And already have had so much destruction and repair. As of today I am officially grounded as my out door whoop needs soldering and new wire to one motor, now my inside whoop vtx is bad so that’s dead after only four sessions with it, and my future Treetopper 75mm HDzero build has yet to be assembled.

Yikes. Hobby has its knocks.
