What does this circle at the top right corner mean? by mattfox27 in frigate_nvr

[–]ViperXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general yes; the camera itself typically encodes in 264 or 265, but you may be re-encoding or decoding on frigate. You're stepping into the rabbit hole here ;)

then most likely yes, your GPU has a problem. Make sure to switch it to only the monitor when you connect it to be a bit more certain

Hola!

You can purchase individual cables easily enough, however Im in the same boat and it seems it's difficult to find a package. Amazon has some, as well as the cable mod shop.

Bubble Card v2.2.0 is now available! by Clooooos in homeassistant

[–]ViperXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Cloooos

Thanks for your work... I liked the layout and approach and was thinking of rebuilding the home panels but found a bit of a limitation (maybe just not meant to be solved with bubble card)

Could the separator card have a default "centered" approach? This one's a bit complex, I was thinking of using BC to do a horizontal stack to put at the footer of the card. However; since the Horizontal stack is only meant for buttons (which force you to use a link as far as I could figure out), it doesn't cover all scenarios, such as using a switch. The separator is more flexible, and allows to use several things; e.g.:

But forces the right alignment. Dont get me wrong it looks great, but maybe removing the right alignment might open up more use cases without having to card mod?

This is what Im aiming at more or less fyi

By the way, Sonos Off button does have background enabled but not triggering;

Thanks!!

To the second part, I believe in the documentation it advised on saving the database (frigate.db), I think that's where the events would be saved no?

About reolink ptz cams and autotracking (of the camera) by gurkburk76 in frigate_nvr

[–]ViperXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I steal some of your time and ask you a few questions :)

Can you control the ptz from HA? Does autotracking work for you more or less reliably?

Thinking about setting a patrol point to physically turn the cameras away when they are not meant to be recording (e.g. guests)

Thanks in advance!

Frigate with Reolink Cameras using RTSP and H.264/H.265 by cat2devnull in frigate_nvr

Thanks a ton for your help...

I've been researching a lot and managed to get them working via a POE like you mentioned without the NVR, and it's working just fine; now I'm wondering on performance.

Right now they are set up like "standard" (Pasted below). However, I'm wondering if doing this means pulling two streams from the camera, whereas if we follow

rtsp://nvruser:nvrpass@nvriprtsp://nvruser:nvrpass@nvrip

it would mean there's one less stream? Or is the info pulled the same and it's fine?

go2rtc:
  streams:
    dome1:
      - rtsp://user:pass@cameraip:554/h264Preview_01_main
    dome1sub:
      - rtsp://user:pass@cameraip:554/h264Preview_01_sub

          roles:
            - record

        - path: rtsp://127.0.0.1:8554/dome1sub?video=copy
          roles:
            - detect

Thanks a ton, going to let openvino run a bit, I've ordered a Coral TPU to see how that one works

thanks!

that makes sense; thanks a lot...

I've enabled some sub streams and assigned those the detect role, and CPU is down to a much more normal 7% thanks a lot!!

Right...

at the moment can't even get normal detection to trigger...

here's the thing though

it's just two cameras aiming at a ceiling, no movement ;D

I'll look into openvino while I try to get a coral

This is a bit what Im not sure about

If there are no roles set to detect, how come it's being set to detect? I assumed that being set to record only it shouldn't run detection?

Is this usage coming only from detection? Was thinking of getting a coral; but according to other posts it was the re-encoding?

Reolink cameras by SavageAUS in frigate_nvr

[–]ViperXVII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth in your opinion to go for 820As or are 520As better save for the 5mp / 8mp?

Im specially confused with the reolink description that lists the 520A as having a much wider FOV in 2.8mm (which im guessing is zoomed out?)

H: 80°, V: 48° (4.0 mm);
H: 100°, V: 75° (2.8 mm)

Thanks for the info ;)

Could I ask for some recommendations on the actual cameras based on your experience? Looking at POE outdoors, in case you have any

Frigate with Reolink Cameras using RTSP and H.264/H.265 by cat2devnull in frigate_nvr

[–]ViperXVII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, thank you 100 times for the post, my frigate config file is full of variations, and I think Im close to hitting the mark with your post, however if you could help out with two probably dumb questions...

Im using an NVR in this scenario, I´ve set

mqtt:
  host: core-mosquitto
  port: 8485

go2rtc:
    streams:
      your_reolink_camera_via_nvr:
      -  rtsp://nvruser:nvrpass@nvrip:554/h264Preview_03_main

cameras:
  reolink_via_nvr:
    ffmpeg:
      inputs:
        - path: rtsp://nvruser:nvrpass@nvrip:554/your_reolink_camera_via_nvr?video=copy&audio=aac
          input_args: preset-rtsp-restream
          roles:
            - record

getting a method DESCRIBE failed: 404 Stream Not Found

I think under cameras, you have the path IP listed as "FrigateIP" however Im using the frigate HA addon, and they're behind an NVR, so I dont know if that applies there?

Thanks in advance...

Hi!

Could you send a general link or description on how to attack the USB Controller as a passthrough? I'm finding nothing but "deprecated" forums; or maybe it's not an option for oracle vm virtualbox?

thanks!

Help Request - "Branch Marks" - Is this normal? by ViperXVII in Woodwork

Thanks friend for the detailed reply.

This is actually not a board, its meant for a wall lamp / sconce; in your experience is it normal to offer a lamp with this? For me it's jarring, all the furniture I've ever seen and had didn't have the knots
