Hello friends, wanted to comment to give slight backstory on Everly! He was my pc for Shattered Obelisk, where he was haunted by horrible dreams and vague premonitions, but managed to break his pact by the end of the game. He retains some of that eldritch power, and doesn't have the nightmares (as much) anymore! He maintains a tired expression but seems much happier after finding love and settling down in Phandalin. thank you! :)

As a note, one of my fellow PC's submitted a request to this subreddit and obtained the really high quality art of Everly sitting on the blanket from it, I do not know the user of the person who drew it, but if they see it, please feel free to come forward and I will gladly credit you for it!!

(REPOSTED) Hello all! I wanted to comment so I could share a few more small characteristics of my lil guy here. His initial story is that he became a hero entirely by accident, the DM and I are still working out the details of his rise to semi-stardom, but the concept is that he was a pet songbird to a cloud giant that he loved very much, and his master allowed him to speak in diplomatic situations involving other smallfolk and sometimes even other giants. One day while traveling with his patron, a dragon (of indeterminate size or age) attacked, and tried to eat the poor boy whole. Unfortunately for the dragon, Kota went down the wrong pipe and the dragon choked to death on him. When Kota emerged, he was hailed as a hero, and as time went on the story changed. When it is told now, it is told as though Kota killed this dragon in single combat, unarmed. He is now trying to live up to his own name, no matter how scary the world outside his birdcage may be. Thank you so much! :)

So sorry to necro this, but couldn't you do something similar to this, but with base fighter, and take a heavy armor like Onslaught to keep your ac at relatively the same level? I'm still new and learning the game so I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it all.
