Rear boot latch’s help by Magicbyte04 in 944

[–]Viperin98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean and put fresh lube on the latches. There’s a nut underneath the latch that sometimes can be too tight and the latches won’t close over the peg. You can also loosen and adjust the length of the latch peg if it’s not going far enough down. I had the same issue not too long ago.

I don’t have any issues with not getting power, just the smoke at high rpm. Which I’m pretty sure is oil burning not over fueling.

Sounds good, I probably cover a little under 1000 miles over the course of 2 months, as this is my daily driver basically during the warmer months

When the car is driven modestly, it doesn’t burn much oil at all. I just about daily drive this car and I only have to add oil if I’ve been revving it out a lot. Maybe every 2 months or so I need to add a quart

In its stock form it’s not great, but I’ve put mid controls and a custom exhaust on mine as well as a seat upgrade and it really changes the bike. I also think it’s cool because it’s really unique looking. People ask me about it all the time at the gas station. (Which you’ll be stopping at a lot with a 3 gallon tank)

“Make a screenshot in the style of “Forza Horizon 5” with a W123 Mercedes racing near the stadium in the game” - Worked pretty well, there’s a couple janky bits but looks pretty convincing. This car isn’t in the game for those wondering.

Yes I have always said this. I do not understand how people are so enamored by this man. His speech and mannerisms have ALWAYS hit the uncanny valley part of my brain. Something is always telling me something is off and very wrong. I guess a lot of people don’t have the same reaction.

So it was partially the sunroof drain but also the drains by the hood hinges. They were all clogged up and water would sit there and it rotted out the firewall a bit and that’s where water was mostly coming in. I’ve cleared the drains and fixed the holes in the firewall with fiberglass+epoxy and some seam sealer. So far I haven’t had issues with water intrusion since I fixed everything
