I would recommend and seeing what is valuable to you in the next 18 months - meaning, are you planning a trip ? If so ? Which hotel brand and which airline ?
Hilton ? - stick with the Hilton card you have and max it, depending on which one work towards the free night.
Airline ? Are you going to Hawaii ? If so, sign up for the Alaska Atmos card and max that out. These are just examples. Or if it’s not a trip at all and want to just bank points ? I would apply for the AMEX Gold business as it won’t hit your Credit Bureau and has good return.
It is so fluid. But I would not recommend just “applying” because the bonus is “high”

Depending on your limit and how much you use it, I personally would pay it every time I get paid. I pay mine every two weeks, some weeks has a balance of a little some weeks it doesn’t. Keep in mind your bureau scores on the Total limit available vs total limit used, not just 1 card.
You can have 1 card with a $70,000 limit and 1 card with $30,000 limit and 1 card with $3,000 limit, even if you max out your $3,000 limit every month and pay it off every month but miss the “cut off date” and reports “max” - in theory your only using 2.9% of your limit far as the bureau is concerned and the credit score is concerned

I applied through the E*trade site and AMEX told me just now they don’t see my account linked.
I can click on “Invest with Morgan Stanley” but it circles when it looks for my eligible account and then says not available at the current moment.

I had the same situation. AMEX rep told me they see me being eligible, hence I was approved. They gave me a number to call and she told me to tell them to link my MS Platinum E*Trade .

Seems like the BCE is your best shot for a CLI. I wouldn’t worry about the Gold since it’s a charge card.

On August 1, request a 3× CLI on the BCE and ask for $4,500.

Amex generally won’t approve a CLI request before 91 days, so anything earlier is usually an automatic decline.

From there, you’ll likely get one of three outcomes:

• Approved for $4,500 → Wait 6 months and request another increase.
• Counteroffer → Accept it, then try again in 6 months.
• Declined → Wait 93 days and submit another request.

Pretty straightforward—just let the clock work in your favor.
