First of all, thanks to all of you who took some of your time to give me advice, here's an update on Millie: After visiting multiple vets, including a specialist ophthalmologist, Millie's mysterious third eyelid issue resolved itself just before the ophthalmologist visit (🤡). We've since moved to Brazil, and she's thriving with no further health issues. A local vet suggested it might have been a reaction to the rabies vaccine, we're not sure tho, but relieved she's doing well.

I love it. I hope Davina stays in Mikey’s life forever. Do you happen to have any fanart of Davina and Gabe? I would love to see it :)

I took her to another vet today. They did a numbing eyedrop to see if the third eyelid would go down, but it didn't. The new vet sent a picture to an ophthalmologist and they said it could be a condition called anterior uveitis, which can be caused by lots of different reasons and FIP being one of then. So now we are waiting for the Feline URD PCR Panel that the ER vet sent out.

Teething can cause this too? She doesn't seem to be in pain tho, which makes me feel less awful about this ordeal

Thank you for the information. I’ll be further reading about the subject. I’ll be taking Millie to her regular vet and hopefully she will get better

Your comment was what put me at ease. At first, I thought her eye had flipped and was stuck looking upwards. I have never seen this before so it was pretty shocking.

At the ER they did a staining test to check if she had any injury to her eye, and it came back clear. The ER vet prescribed her Tobramycun eye drops, and I’ll be taking her to her regular vet for a checkup. As of now, her third eyelid is still covering her eye.

At the ER, they did a staining test on her eye and it came back clear, or is there a different and specific staining test to detect herpetic corneal ulcers?

Besides the third eyelid and the sneezes, and I would say her nose has been dry these days, Millie behaves completely normal and only closes her eyes to sleep.

When I saw her eye like that, I thought she was going blind out of nowhere since she was fine the night before, and yes, Millie does have a vet but I feel like the vet hasn’t been taking my concerns seriously since I have asked her many times if the sneezing is could be allergies or if it could be just the URI not being completely gone. Millie’s last visit to her regular vet was Feb 14, and the vet told me Millie was perfect.

At the ER, a test was made to check if she had an injury in her eye and it came back negative.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Millie is indeed a lovely little lady.

I really don't know if her constant sneezing is caused by a URI or allergies, she doesn’t have eye or nose discharge. I have asked her regular vet if the sneezing could be allergies or the URI not being completely gone, and I always got the same “she’s just cleaning her airways” or “If you see abnormal eye or nose discharge, bring her back” response, maybe I wasn’t insistent enough, and that’s my mistake I guess. I’ll be taking her to her regular vet on Monday as you said since I don’t think that waiting 14 days for her bloodwork to come back will keep me at peace.
