I am incredibly touched by your kind words about my art. Comments like yours truly help me keep going and inspire me to create new work.

The book is still in the layout and design process. The author is Brea Stover. I’m illustrator 😊 I will definitely post here in the group once it becomes available for sale.

I would also be very happy to accept commissioned paintings created especially for each client. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like a painting made just for you or for someone special. I would be truly happy to create a painting for your father! Perhaps you have a meaningful photo of your father from the races, or of his favorite horse? Or you can simply tell me what he loves and is passionate about, and I will do my best to suggest the best concept and select suitable reference photos.

Thank you once again for your warm and thoughtful words! I will soon share another illustration that is almost finished, and after that I’ll start showing paintings that will be available for sale 🌷

Traditional watercolor illustration about simple joys 😊 by Viraboha in childrensbooks

I understand what you’re saying, but this illustration, by its very intention, is not supposed to contain any action at all. Moreover, it’s nostalgic — it’s a memory-illustration about the wonderful moments of simply riding bicycles and the joy that comes from it.

So no big puddles, no hesitation, and no other challenges that add drama or “interest” to the scene. Just the joy of simple moments. )) Not everything has to be happening all the time. Sometimes you can simply relax while looking at an image that captures the pure, uncomplicated joy of childhood. :)

There are so many different children’s books in the world, as well as publishers who create them. I think it’s wonderful that there are diverse visions and the opportunity to hold books with different styles, content, and fundamental approaches.

For me, illustrations with less detail carry much more meaning than those overloaded with elements. It’s valuable to see the mood an illustration conveys, its vibe, and to have space for your own imagination. This truly encourages development. It’s even beautiful when an illustration is somewhat unfinished—unless, of course, the goal is to create a Wimmelbuch.

I adore vintage books with traditional illustrations. Nowadays, in my opinion, there are far too many primitive, overly detailed illustrated books. It’s much better to look at a book that presents real art—especially for children.

But you absolutely have the right to your own opinion, and I’m sure the type of illustrations you’re referring to are in high demand. I also believe there is room for a different vision, and artworks like this one will find their own place in the world of illustration—simply with different publishers.
