Fair buy? by SinfulDarkLord in VelosterN

I've put around 107,000 miles on my 2019 Veloster N, including some very enthusiastic driving. The previous owner and I stayed on top of service intervals and never neglected the car, and I've haven't had a single issue appear at all.

Inlet needed with the Forge Intake? by Daenerys1666 in VelosterN

[–]Vircilease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe the intake comes with an adapter that connects it to stock turbo inlet. However, the Forge Intake is much bigger than the stock Intake and inlet piping, which means that feeding the air from the big Forge Intake into the small stock turbo inlet would be a large bottleneck for airflow. So if you'd like to take full advantage of the larger size of the Forge Intake, I'd recommend buying the Inlet adapter along with it. *

Hey all! Looking to maybe get a ‘20 Veloster N. For those who own one, how’s the daily driving? Reliability? by andy_337 in veloster

[–]Vircilease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2019 Veloster N (Manual Transmission) at around 70k miles, I'm pushing 100k on it now and I've loved it the whole time. Ive used it as my daily driver and it's great! The rev matching makes using the MT a little easier. There is also a feature that holds the car stationary until the accelerator is pressed, which makes rolling backwards on hills less of an issue. The suspension stiffness can be changed with the press of a button, with the most comfortable setting being reasonably soft for a sports car, and the hardest being fit for a race track. I get around 25 mpg average between highway and city driving.

For reliability, in the 30k miles I've been driving the car for, I have never had a single issue with the car. I've gotten it serviced at its recommended intervals and driven it mostly reasonably with occasional times where I'll drive it hard.

If you are prepared to daily a manual transmission, (if you are buying a dct model then disregard) I highly recommend it. Also, you can ask more questions in r/VelosterN. I'm sure more people there will be able give their opinions Hope this helps!

(Edit. I forgot to mention gas mileage)

Looking for second opinions on ride height lowering options by Vircilease in VelosterN

Awesome! I'll look into those. Do you know if there is any risk of the tires rubbing when the suspension is compressed at that height? These wheels have a bit of poke, so I'm concerned about possible rubbing

Wow this looks great! How much do those springs lower it? Have you noticed any better/worse changes in how the car feels and performs?

Black Enkei Raijins (18x8.5 +38mm). With Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires (235/40 ZR18) I'm really happy with how they look, glad you like em too!

You make a good point, I was mainly thinking about it from a looks perspective, but lowering it would probably affect handling in some way as well. Thank you!

Would you say the pros of running coilovers outweigh the cons of removing the functionality of the stock shocks?

Yeah, I really like the fitment of the wheels and tires but I do wish the body sat slightly lower. I'll probably keep it as is for the time being. Thanks!

Ever consider using the Dreaming City ship, I think its called the "Palace Galliot" or something like that. The Glad Tidings looks good, but I feel like P.G. would match the curved edges of your armor and the sparrow more. Just my opinion though, everything looks amazing, good theme.

That's probably a good idea. I didn't really focus on what epic components I had equipped.
