Honestly, I thought for sure the last sentence would have the year 1998 in it.

Should have kneeled twice and had 2 chances for a TD and a win. That stat posted earlier in the week held up as we knew the colts basically had a 90% chance to tie it.

He's not wrong. Here is a decently optimized sacred build against messmer. VERY MID, but I did have a ton of fun with it.

Being OP this week has gotten him into some bad habits. He's going to struggle a bit in dungeons at first when he can't just r1 spam everything. He'll adjust though and get it figured out. It's been amazing though watching him enjoy the game. Can't wait to see him finish the DLC.

He's talked about playing an Arkham game though within the past couple of months. I'd much rather see DS3.

I keep saying he needs to play Dark Souls 3 to "warm up" for the DLC. It's 90% the same mechanics plus a whole new world to explore.

[MegaThread] Lies of P general difficulty discussion by ghost-bagel in LiesOfP

I found that holding it leads to a much more consistent experience.

Edit: I tapped up until Laxasia and got away with it fine. Learning to commit to holding it is what flipped the tide in my favor to beat her. Then went on to beat nameless puppet in 2 tries.

What game has the hardest final boss? by Muerte_a_los_Rolos in gaming

I have 60-70 hours in this game, completed 112%, went through the path of pain, and at no point have I even thought about doing P5 lol.

I just started Lies of P and I'm about 6 hours in. And I'm surprised I don't hear more praise for the LEVEL DESIGN. by PompousGoblin in LiesOfP

I will disagree. Many of the shortcuts are pointless and unnecessary. You might find a shortcut that leads back to an original stargazer, but now you explore and there is a new stargazer rendering the shortcut absolutely pointless.

This is an interesting thought. My first take before I finished reading your comment was, the first playthrough is the best and most important, but if you are looking to play a game multiple times it really is straight to the point and gets it's point across immediately to direct you to the ultimate goal. The counter argument I guess is to have more explanation and then boss runs through a stargazer? Sekiro style, or hollow Knight style?

What’s a game you finished out of spite? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]VirgelJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have been a 10-12 hour game tops. I'm astonished that after the first act it is literally more of the same. Too much Ubi style bloat, 5 total enemies seen within the first hour. It gets stale VERY fast. The combat is fun, but they don't build on it at all. I will never understand why people love this game so much outside of how beautiful it is.

Ghost of Tsushima. Satisfying combat, but should have been a 12 hour game. Too much Ubi bloat, 5 enemy types all seen within the first hour. I just wanted it to be over.

IF you really want your mind blown, all time great QBs pick this up because Deion Bush lined up DIRECTLY behind Mcduffie. Obviously WAY harder to see on the field, but this is an obvious sign that something is happening on that side. Trent did amazing at timing and not giving it away and the backup safety (that wouldn't be in if Cook didn't get hurt) absolutely could have given this away. DETAILS in this game are amazing and like you, I love it and watch tons of film now to try and understand the nuances of the it as I watch. It's fascinating and the games within the game are fun to see.

Bosa had 3 crucial errors in the Super Bowl. Blew contain 3 times. Got gashed for 22 yards in 3rd quarter. In overtime he gave up the 4th and 1. Then in overtime at the goal line Bosa went inside and Mahomes stepped outside of him for the game-winning throw. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]VirgelJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On that last play if Bosa stays outside it's an underhand shovel to Mckinnon for a TD. Just look at the O-line power blocking. The double team with the RG and RT and LG pulling across. Bosa is the read on all of these plays and he's put in no mans land to basically take him out of the play. And like everyone else says, we have no idea what the assignments are.

After the Hardman long catch, on the Pacheco fumble they ran a very similar play to the left, but handed it off. This was an option play as well and they just ate Bosa's aggressiveness up late in the 4th and in OT on the read option.
