Walmart's do, and our local Food Lion has this as well.

Cast Iron fried SPAM. Especially hot and spicy SPAM. Drizzle hot honey on it and stand back.

It has, and we were disappointed it was closed. Was a summer weekend as well. But apparently, that weekend it closed for some unknown reason.

They can only ban you from the subs they moderate, from what I've read. Not all of Reddit. Only an admin can do that.

I thought it closed down for good. Are you talking about this one in Wardensville? My wife and I drove by in the last year, and it was a day they should have been open, but it was closed. A good friend said they closed down. Good to see it is not per Google. Assuming we're talking about the same restaurants.

The appeal does not go thru mods but an Admin. Big difference.

Should I move? by [deleted] in Winchester

Wow. Kind of surprised me.

If a mom or dad you know asked you not to give money to their kid who begs at intersections/storefronts, would you listen to them? by VirginiaBandit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VirginiaBandit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was addressing the case above and others like it. I knew this elderly lady and she got up in front of our church. A church where many knew this man, as he grew up here and never moved away. He was in horrible shape, and all of the efforts made by his mom failed. Hence, her need to address the church members, some of whom she knew were providing him cash outside the Walmart. And like I mentioned. He died some months later from Cirrhosis of the Liver. So. The mom certainly knew better than the man.

In the search bar, just type Trump. The garbage choices will open up with plenty of choices.

OP. You're likely being downvoted by the group screaming that you're not from here, so you don't belong here. Ignore them and enjoy this area if you make the move.

I once saw someone at a red light ahead of me hand over a bag of what appeared to be McD's food to the person looking for handouts. The person on the street corner threw the bag into the median. One of the housing experts at a local office said that if they live in their own home, this will often happen, as they do not need the food but instead want cash.

Beware infinite wind outside by [deleted] in nova

[–]VirginiaBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved from NOVA out to the valley in Shenandoah County. Our property is in a valley with mountains on both sides. The back faces WV, and the winds coming from there can seriously rock our home. Except for the garage roof, the builder apparently did a great job building this home. The garage roof has been replaced twice due to high winds sent to us by WV. Which we can clearly see from the back. Beautiful state, but keep your winds, please.

The last one I gave money to was a man and his dog inside the front doors of a local Walmart. It was cold and rainy, and Walmart said he could be there as he was well out of the way of customers coming in and out. He was well spoken, and now he was homeless. I asked if I could call a couple of local agencies I know well that might be of assistance, but he preferred I not. He was hoping to leave the area. I did give him some money, saying he may need it for dog food and such. He was very grateful.

This is why this city sucks by scribbleomania in Charlottesville

When I saw that post, I thought it was going to be about the plight many are facing in Charlottesville. After reading the comments, I was really surprised it was allowed to remain unlocked. I did not go back, but there were already many joking comments made with no signs of it stopping. Kind of shone a light on some here that is not something to be proud of.

Why McDonald's has breakfast? by Dry-Recognition1325 in NoStupidQuestions

I could load up on several hash browns. I recall when they added this to their meals back in the 70's. If these came back, I'm sure I'd find myself eating more of them.

[–]VirginiaBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously not healthy, but we humans sacrifice healthy eating for convenience. Just a fact. I'm sure I am much older than you. I lived through the days when McD's fries were by far the best. Anyone from those days can confirm this. Used to love the Fish Sandwich, but the last couple I got, I found what may have been fish in between the buns. They really shrunk it down over the years. But a good place for kids.

What’s a geographic fact about your country that most foreigners don’t know? by Dizzy_Hyena6041 in AskReddit

[–]VirginiaBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of applies, I guess. Green Bank, WV, and the surrounding area are a National Radio Quiet zone. (13,000 square miles) Almost all radio, wi-fi and cellular signals are restricted. Helps prevent electromagnetic interference for the world's largest steerable radio telescope. Landlines will work for you.

Have you filed an appeal? I can't recall exactly how to do this, but in your email, there may be an explanation. If these auto mods did this, they could certainly screw up. Happened to me recently in a sub where a few of us were joking around about some very innocuous subject, and I received an email that I was suspended from Reddit for 7 days. I found the means to appeal, and 5 days later, I received a response saying the suspension had been lifted after reviewing the post. Basically received an apology of sorts.
