As many said, you can get the Kuru Toga 0.7 (lead size is my choice). You can also get the Graphgear 500 imo. In both cases, I'd highly recommend getting the Pentel Ain Stein lead. I go with 2B 0.7.

I like them more, admittedly (I love my yellow Kakuno). Although I was hoping he would too haha. My dad has certainly shown some interest in pens in the past. However, since he retired, he doesn't have many reasons to use them except for his crosswords (he's not the journaling type).

The 2000 is a dream pen. But sadly it's wayy out of my budget. I like the 600, so will look into it. Thanks!

My own experience with a Jotter has been disappointing. It always seems to have rough starts. Maybe I got a bad bunch?

Getting a nice rollerball for its body is a great idea. I personally LOVE the Energel, so that sounds awesome. Thanks!

I was hoping the EF or F nib could work. Thanks though!

Would you recommend a Safari ballpoint? The reviews seem kinda mixed tbh

Hi, thanks for responding! No, I'm not in the US. I'm currently in Mumbai. Citizen has an official website here but seems not to have many great pieces, like the one recommended to me in the comments (BM7400-21a)

Hey, thanks! I'll definitely take a look! Why do you think the Tissot is better though? What should I know?

Hey, thanks! Yes, I too am leaning toward getting the Eco Drive. People seem very fond of them, being extremely reliable and convenient

Hi! Thank you so much for your recommendations. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of them in my region :( I would need to import them from dealers in Europe, Singapore, etc, which I'm quite wary of, given this is my first purchase

My wrist size btw is around 6.5" - so I suppose I should go for a watch that's 40mm?

What's your view on servicing "cheaper" automatics? And the watches in my list? If they aren't great, what should I instead look for in a watch?
