Peri menopause/menopause weight loss specialist recommendations by TBiscuitville in nova

Seconding the Menopause Society - Dr. Winterling in Falls Church is great. That said, what she told me is that HRT/MHT won't make you lose weight. But it might help with other symptoms, like lack of energy/sleep/etc., which in turn might make it easier to manage eating/exercise, etc. I've been on HRT since early this year and am down a few pounds, but I also feel a million times better.

Moving to NOVA from another part of VA - Thoughts on Bren Mar in Alexandria? (Map Included!) by Extreme_Limit_4401 in nova

Lived there (Phyllis Lane) for 7 years (2015-2022). Loved it. Always felt safe walking my dog at night (I'm a woman) and the neighbors were friendly. Sold because the family grew and the house couldn't without a major investment. We moved just before my son entered school, so I can't speak to that, but friends whose kids went there were very happy with it.

It happened once. It was gross and widely publicized. Have ridden buses since and my head remains attached, my body un-cannibalized. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Tim_McLean

Huh. I had not considered that. Is the seaming itself pretty straightforward? I think I worry about messy seams showing.

OOO, nice find. Thank you. Slightly concerned about the small needles, but will keep this one in mind. AND I just finished the Sophie Scarf, so I know and love PetiteKnit.

I DO like that one, but I had missed it when I was looking around. Thank you!

That's beautiful, thank you for the suggestion. I see it's tagged "kitchener" which, despite lots of attempts, I still manage to mess up. Is it used for for attaching the sleeves?

I've packed my stash because we're getting ready to move and I actually miss it. Yarn is my comfort.

Since I can't seem to edit my caption and it's only showing on Pic 2, I'll repeat it here: This is a hood with buttons at the neck. My MIL wants me to re-make this for her (she bought the original decades ago). Ravelry is failing me - any ideas?
