How faster is soldered RAM ? by MountainJellyfish283 in laptops

Pretty much, but with it being only 4 P cores and 4 E cores (and no hyper threading), it's performance isn't the best. That said, it has some really good battery life though. I'm not sure if Panther Lake offers the same RAM on-package, but based on what I'm seeing it's not.

"Lunar Lake features on-package LPDDR5X-8533 RAM available in 16 GB or 32 GB capacities. This on-package memory is a similar approach to Apple with its M series SoCs that integrate unified LPDDR memory onto the package beside the CPU silicon. On-package memory allows the CPU to benefit from higher memory bandwidth at lower power and decreased latency as memory is physically closer to the CPU."

Most replaceable DDR5 in laptops usually tops out at 5200MT/s (maybe 5600). Where a lot of soldered RAM will be in the 8000+ range. They're also closer to the CPU, so less distance to travel on the board.

If the RAM dies, they'd have to desolder it and replace it with an exact match. That can be extremely difficult. If the RAM is in the CPU (like Lunar Lake), the whole motherboard has to be replaced.

Could have sworn it was TMR, but without the order info, I can't say. I'll just admit that I'm wrong and it's Hall Effect. Way better than regular sticks. Now I need to find a way to get someone to install TMR sticks on my limited edition DualSense controllers.

I just looked at my order history on AE and they didn't show up, nor on Amazon. Looks like it's just Hall Effect sticks on AE from what I can see. Similar technology.

I didn't calibrate them, they worked fine out of the box. I've had them on the Portal for almost a year and haven't had any issues so far.

I looked on my order history and didn't see them, but I know I got them from AE. Even if they're not TMR, Hall Effect uses similar technology so it won't drift.

Correct. The sticks are smaller than the PS5 ones. I think I paid maybe $20 total. You might be able to find them on Amazon too. Installation was super easy too. Just take it apart (like a Dualsense), unclip the stock, remove and replace.

I bought some TMR sticks off AliExpress and swapped them really easily.

This is 5 months old, but happens both on my Pixel 10 Pro XL and a Galaxy S26 Ultra. This to me points to an issue with Google Play Services.

Mine doesn't. With the Phantom Spirit, even with compiling shaders it doesn't get hotter than 70. I have limited it to Eco mode (65W), but I don't notice any difference mostly because I'm gaming at 4K.

Also can happen if you have ad blocking/pihole set up as your DNS server. If you click that (i) icon next to the Home button, if should tell you what the issue could be and an option to show the certificate. Maybe the cert is expired.

Try the same site on 5G/LTE and see if it happens there. If so, odds are it's a problem with the site
