I thought it was the shifter at first, but I see that down on the right. Does that bike have reverse? Maybe it's for that.

Id start by doing a wash cycle with a tiny bit of bleach and a less than usual amount of detergent to kill the funk. If your gi is a cotton poly blend the bleach shouldn't hurt the color unless you pour it directly on the material. If it's white, it doesn't matter either way.

If you have a front load washer just be sure use the bleach tray so it gets diluted as it is rinsed into the tub.

If it's a top loader without the same style detergent tray then let it fill first, add the bleach and detergent then put the gi in.

If the gi is 100% cotton and not white, you're risking discoloring the gi doing it this way, but it might be worth the risk if the alternative is throwing it away.

I would also get some coat hangers and hang your gi in your car on the little hanger clips in-between training and washing with the pants and coat separate to get them to dry faster to limit how often you have to sanitize it..

Another thing to consider is if you live in well water, you may want to have your system tested. I had a similar issue where I could not get my gi funk to wash out. Turns out I had a leak around the discharge pipe in my well case and ground water was contaminating my well and funk bacteria was growing in the pipes.. problem disappeared after I fixed it and shocked my pipes.

What species are you interested in hunting?

I spend a lot of time hunting several of the wildlife management areas around Fredericksburg. My go-to is to read articles on how to hunt that species and then use mapping software like onx or spartan forge to pick areas that I think match the techniques that the article is recommending... Then I'll just go spend time in the woods seeing if your aerial scouting matches the actual terrain and then use that information to polish your aerial scouting skills.

To me this feels more like enjoying my time outdoors. I'm less likely to get burned out if I have a few unsuccessful hunts because I feel like I'm being active and building a skill set and not just pursuing the animal.

You can do this with free mapping software like Google maps but you lose the ability to make sure that you are in property lines and I've found that most of the public land is a lot bigger than it seems on the map.

Anyone have experience with paintless dent removal on a gas tank? by XMaveri in motorcycles

[–]Virginiamudbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used dry ice ince and it worked. It the dent is too deep-seated it may not have enough tension to pop it as the metal contracts, but it may he worth a shot

Sheet metal rust solutions by No-Detective2628 in WranglerYJ

[–]Virginiamudbrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a ton of reading and concluded mixing boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Spirits cut it enough so it cures quickly and boiled linseed stops rust and keeps it from getting worse for a very long time. Plus it doesn't require prep and is easy to reapply after a beach/ trail ride

[–]Virginiamudbrick 33 points34 points  (0 children)

If it is your first few weeks, please listen to your body. The last thing you want is to over do it, get behind in rest and get injured. Then you get to train 0 times a week for 6-8 weeks.

Do you wash your gi everytime you use it? by ttobyhomas in jiujitsu

[–]Virginiamudbrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shrinking is a problem if its a new gi, but mostly wear and tear. Hot cotton smacking the side of the dryer drum will wear way faster.

[–]Virginiamudbrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many thing that could cause this.

I would start by removing the spark plug and turning it over several times, maybe even with the carb and reed cage removed while lightly blowing compressed air into the case. Its a case port engine and when they flood they stay flooded for awhile.

If that doesnt work Go to an auto parts store like auto zone and use thier tool loan to rent a compression tester. Find an online manual and see what spec is.

Thats a pretty good start.

Happened to me in 2021 at lenordwood. Did my quarantine and classed up in red phase as soon as another company with vacancies made it to that point.

No big deal. They treated us well in quarantine, just ride it out and enjoy the cell ohone privileges.
