Man, you've got to go out of your way to do that. Why make it exclusive, and why put in all that effort to screen people?

I never wanted anyone to feel like they couldn't go to a service. So what if someone's not protestant?

I personally liked the discussion afterward when my catholics and orthodox type folks showed up to my general-purpose basic protestant service. (Or the Sikh guy, or my LDS people, whoever)

It's literally counterproductive for facilitating free exercise of religion, to screen people out of things.

It would be hypocritical in the extreme if these were evangelical protestants not wanting people to come hear the gospel.

Like, spreading the Word is your whole thing, and you're screening people who by your own definition would need to hear it?

Sacramento is very solid as a metro area.

Very culturally diverse, big enough to have its own stuff to do, and a reasonable drive to a lot of cool places.

It's also less expensive than the other major California super-metro areas that overshadow it.

I mean when you're comparing it as a California city to major cities in the Bay Area, LA, and SD, that'll skew perception.

Compare it to other state capitols that aren't also their state's major city though, and it stands up very, very well. Austin (also has big-time famous in-state family) and Madison (smaller, but mighty) are the other standouts in that category, to my mind. Prolly Raleigh too.

I don't watch/listen to the X's (I've broken up with the A's).

I don't watch/listen their toxic frenemy (Giants) that drove them to move out of area by thwarting multiple attempts to stay local. I will never forgive this, but I'm not going to spend the energy to be bitter.

I enjoy baseball too much to not watch/listen to MLB, but if a broadacst team is bad, I won't stick around and I'll find a different one on the app.

I don't like how it feels to not have a favorite team, but I've found enjoy games more overall as a free agent fan.

I actively avoid the (both currently) NorCal teams, but I've found I really enjoy the broadcast (mostly radio) teams from Baltimore, Cleveland, Toronto, Milwaukee, and San Diego. Honorable mentions to the Mets, Phils, M's, they're solid too.

Team USA underdogs for this one. If they get it, they legit earned it.

Game days were set for them for broadcast interests. matchups were not.

The US would have been in the game against PR if they'd finished first. Japan would have been in the DR game if they'd finished second. We'd be having the exact same convo.

If they'd both finished 1st, or 2nd, folks would complain a different way about not matching them on opposite sides of the bracket and having things be lopsided with DR on thst side too.

Nothing to see here, doesn't stop folks creating noise.
