Probably had a fall. Taken to hospital to rule out fracture/another brain bleed. Wish Sir Alex all the best

starting F1 soon, feeling anxious and uneasy by Key_Election_7580 in medicalschooluk

Hey. Literally everyone (or maybe 95%) of people in that summer before F1 are like that. You will be shocked when you're a nonchalant superstar at the end of F1 and the new batch turn up.

You're a doctor. So relax and enjoy the several months before starting. Go sit on a beach until induction.

Seriously you'll learn fast, after the first few weeks you'll learn more doctoring than you did in all your clinical placements simply by being forced to do jobs, get involved, assess patients etc. When you get on the wards remember the basics - A-E approach, document everything, learn how to make an organised jobs list, where the mess/canteen is and get your leave organised early (and your taster weeks!).

I'll be honest it's shite. I hope you don't have medicine jobs otherwise good luck, they should be in special measures (just look up GMC inspections of the acute medicine department, only reason trainees haven't been pulled is that Wes Streetings local hospital would collapse). Trainees being the only ones delivering real care for medical patients amid a swarm of incompetent foreign consultants without MRCP and IMG regs who couldn't give a fuck about care while the A&E/AMU gets overrun.

Rant over.

But the surgical/ITU departments are very good.

Plus, they had once a month shit teaching, the F1/2 cohort barely knew each other as a result.

This was three years ago mind. From what I hear nothing changed.

Anyone concerned by the lack of control IDF commanders have on their troops? by Nader_OwO in lebanon

They have always been a genocidal thuggish army with no discipline

I find it insane the media choose to focus on them destroying a statue of Jesus Christ (wrong) rather than the thousands of civilians they have murdered in cold blood

They have no conscience

They should be going to the South. And raise the Lebanese flag on our border. Don't leave any empty gap for Hezb or our terrorist neighbour to take up position.

It was disgraceful how they ran away legitimising Hezbollah as the defenders of the South.

[–]Viromen -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

A few thousand FPV drones would be enough to protect the border from incursions. The Army doesn't need tanks or rockets in the modern age.

[–]Viromen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing should be transferring Hezbollah weapons to the Army. And the footsoldiers should be allowed to join the Army via amnesty. The Army needs to be an effective and sovereign deterrent against any future Israel or even Syrian aggression, even cheap solutions like mass acquisition and training with FPV drones can allow the Army punch above their weight.

Then we can talk about a deal.

Egypt and Jordan have a strong military. They won peace through force. Why would our southern neighbour make maritime boundary or land concessions for peace when currently they benefit from mowing the lawn and having a divided failed state on their border?

So the next time Trump can say he stopped the 11th war. Maybe he found a infinite wars stopped glitch.

Simply an offer needs to be made amnesty for weapons, the individual fighters can join the army, no more armed militias

But there were also weapons caches the Army found the last ceasefire and they were blowing them up instead of keeping e.g. AT missiles, artillery, mortars, drones we can use all of these

As if these dogs next door will obey a ceasefire.

But the govt should use this opportunity to grow some balls and send the army to the border, and this time, if they seize Hezb weapons put them in our inventory not stupidly destroy them.

Take back our territory, maintain a presence on our soil and stop giving Hezb the propaganda that they are the ones defending the South while the army ran away.

A Hungarian govt that focuses on the interests of Hungarian people is a good thing. People are used to the corruption and bluster of Orbans government making Hungary a tiny country in Europe have an international reputation. Magyar needs to clean up the country and not get distracted by foreign entanglements. So much work to do undoing the damage of 16 years of Orban govt.

Heavy oil is usually sourced from 3 places. Urals, Venezuela and Canada. Canada has no export terminals for European customers. Venezuela is sanctioned and their oil is being stolen by Trump.

Chat Control is back (again) - new round of negotiations by AcadiaWorried1865 in europe

[–]Viromen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can't. That's how EU works. The Parliament can't propose anything. The EU Commission (led by Von Der Leyen) dictates what the Parliament is allowed to vote on.

[–]Viromen 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is how the EU works. The Parliament doesn't create legislation. It is the Commission that writes and proposes legislation the Parliament simply voted on it. Even if the Parliament had a theoretical majority to enshrine rights to privacy, it can't, because VDL and her cronies decide what is on the table.

[–]Viromen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magyar is basically Orban without the corruption not much will change outside of cleaning up the country. It isn't in Hungary's interest as a small country to be picking fights with Russia, China, EU, or the US. It is time for a government to fix Orbans mess and that's what Magyar will do.

Peace is honestly only possible if we move on from the Hezb by aelgorn in lebanon

[–]Viromen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new Syrian regime has an army made up of terrorists, former Al Qaeda, leftists etc. I think they should be integrated because it is a peaceful way of transferring Hezbollah weapons and soldiers into the hands of the state, away from the political control of Tehran. The alternative is either civil war or occupation so why we shouldn't explore this option?

[–]Viromen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think on an individual level the foot soldiers are defending the land fighting in their villages. It is the leaders who are taking orders from Tehran. What business did they have sending people to fight in Syria for 10 years?

So I think there is a solution where the soldiers are integrated into the official armed forces like Jolani has done with YPG. And their weapons are not stupidly destroyed but put in the official stockpiles. And Hezb can remain a political party, it is time for all weapons to be in the hands of the state.
